  I always talked about evreything but the WT Kingdom. I never was a strong JW so I figured football, fishing, selling placing literature is all the same. It's amazing how many hours can be racked up talking sports.

  having read both of ray franz' books and more recently 'the gentile times reconsidered' by c. o jonsson you'd be forgiven for believing that losing the 607 b.c.e date for the destruction of jerusalem would end in disaster for the society.

  sorry but i just don't think so.. i'm sure many of the long-time witnesses who know the history of the society would truly have problems but most of the dubs just don't care!

  think about it, remember all those dubs you used to hang out with.

  Nah... the first thing my ex said when I presented her the evidence proving the GB is an evil slave was:

  "All my friends are here. You don't mind if I stay."

  "No baby, it's your life to screw up. Do whatever makes you feel secure."

  Typical dub reaction. When the ivory Watch Tower goes tumbling down the social climbers are going to whine that someone should have told them.

  atrolling we will go atrolling we will go.. another subject of this post could be: the devaluation of christian conscience in jehovah's witnesses.. you ever notice that the wt will sometimes print things that some christians can do with a clean conscience.

  things that in the past were a big no no but now are ok?

  since there are a lot of things i could do with a clean conscience: birthdays; smoke; oral sex; bla bla bla, could i use this reasoning as a defense?

  my wife and i disassociated 3 months ago and my wifes mother is still a jw....but.....she still sees us regularly.

  today, a 'clipboard' elder went down to see her.

  he has been her book study overseer for a year and has never once gone to see her even though her husband is dying.

  Please tell your mother-in-law that by refusing to be a victim/abuser of the Governing Body of JWs she is proving them to be the hypocrites that they are. What do they think you are going to do if she shuns you. Slither back for more abuse from them.
