I was a JW for 13 years when I started having problems with the conditional love they show after I became very sick. When I got a lot better physically I still saw the 'JW love' as very judgemental and conditional. About 2 years later God literally took my hand and led me out of this destructive cult. In the meantime, I searched for and found Christ and would rather die than return to that demonised religion.

Ruling offers new basis for suits against churches
by Dogpatch infrom http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2005/02/23/ruling_offers_new_basis_for_suits_against_churches/.
ruling offers new basis for suits against churches.
by michael kunzelman, associated press | february 23, 2005. a superior court judge has ruled that a jehovah's witness church in boston can be sued for breaking its trust and legal duty to a girl who said she was sexually abused by one of the church's ministerial servants.. suffolk superior court judge herman smith jr.'s ruling is believed to be the first time a massachusetts court has determined that church officials have a "fiduciary duty" to members of their congregation, a relationship akin to the one lawyers and doctors share with clients and patients.. smith's ruling, made earlier this month, also is expected to open another legal channel for lawyers to bring civil suits against churches for clergy abuse cases, according to lisa bruno, news editor for massachusetts lawyers weekly.. "it gives another piece of ammunition to plaintiffs, another grounds for finding a church liable for the actions of priests and ministers," bruno said.. carmen durso, a boston lawyer who settled 40 lawsuits against the archdiocese of boston in 2003, said he expects smith's ruling to pave the way for more clergy abuse cases to proceed.. "it affords another basis, a stronger basis, for bringing claims against churches in sex abuse cases," durso said.. the girl at the center of smith's ruling was between 9 and 11 when a ministerial servant with the columbus park congregation of jehovah's witnesses allegedly molested her during bible study classes in her home, lawyers weekly reported.. the girl's parents, who learned about the alleged abuse in august 2000, sued the ministerial servant and two boston-area jehovah's witness congregations for negligence as well as breach of fiduciary duty.

Don't expect an exodus out of the servant body. Most of the elders are too enamored with their 'privileges' to think it all may come back to bite them in the rear end one day.

Wanting to leave JWs & Spouse problems
by doinmypart inare you trying to fade or otherwise distance yourself from the org, but have a spouse that is a loyal jw?
on various posts i read about some that are staying in the org, or having a difficult time because their spouse doesn't understand the change.
i'll begin...my wife doesn't understand how i can turn my back on all the good things i've gotten from the org.

Sisters in the congregation will to start to advise and "comfort" her about her situation.
And that is one of the reasons we are now divorced.
Isn't it strange that they all worry about the spouse who is still being deceived by the WTBTS rather than asking themselves why the other one has seen the light.

Will the average age of Witnesses go up with time?
by JH in.
my parents go to a catholic church, and they say that the average age is in the 60's.. at the kh, the average age is about 30, if you calculate the age of the children too.. theoretically, the average age of witnesses should go up with time .
if less and less people become witnesses, the average age should go up, just like traditional religions....no?.

It already is going up.
Go start you own thread, dub instead of trying to steal this one. Oh, you're just following the example of your GB leaders. Steal all they can.
What 1975 failure??? Can you show me a WT publication that specificately stated that the end of the world will come in 1975??? No half quotes, no headlines that say nothing conclusive. Just a WT article that states that in 1975 the world will end. I haven't found one

Are there any 'true' churches ?
by Qcmbr injust a question because of course we all either believed we were in the 'truth', are still in the 'truth' have left and found the 'truth', there is no 'truth' or that the only truth is found in the trailer park with a bottle of bud and a bunch of 'pozzies:)

Contrary to what the demonz in Bethel subjected us to, Jesus is Truth and the WTBTS is not. This will be shown as true if the apostate death-dealing, child- sacrificing Satan worshippers of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses direct their attorneys to sue me for defamation of character and slander. What are you False Prophets of the Governing Body waiting for?

Didn't your dubass see me asleep at the back of the Hall every week when you told the fairy tale about the young brother in Nicaragua who sold his pet rooster and sent the money to Crooklyn Bethel to further kingdumb interests? In other words, I never fell for that line of crap so was able to save for my future instead of slave for the Caulk Suckers on the Governing Body.

Paradox: Are Faithless Watchtower Leaders Reform's Best Hope?
by metatron inwhile many among the watchtower's leadership are no doubt sincere, there is no proof.
more than this, in examining the life of a man like rutherford - complete with.

The charges lodged were that Jehovah?s Witnesses incite religious discord, cause families to break up, infringe upon the right to life by religiously motivated refusal of medical care, and promote the refusal to fulfill civic duties, such as military service. The prosecutor made it clear that she had no real-life examples or factual cases to present but that the evidence was contained in the literature of Jehovah?s Witnesses.
There are plenty of real-life examples in the country where this cult was founded .
