Is there any way people could appear to be complying with the borganization's edict to sign it, but really not? Like signing it the wrong way, or having a trusted friend sign your signature and be a witness to the fact that you did not sign it? And have a letter on file in your home stating you did not sign it and were only presenting the pretend document to get the cult off your back? Sign it "Scooby Doo"?

I personally would be very worried that somehow the no blood card would get enforced.

Resolutions at Kingdom Hall

anyhow i got to thinking today about my days in the borg and the resolutions that would intermittently be made in the announcements for co visit expenses, sending a donation to society www fund etc.

my point is that while i was in (almost thirty two years) i never once saw anyone put up their hand to vote against a resolution that the body of elders proposed.

on a couple of occasions i heard a few hushed murmurs but i never saw one person vote against.

I remember a resolution to change the weeknight meeting nights. One MS worked those evenings, and he seconded the motion.

I asked why and was told he could see jehoopla's spirit wanted the change to happen, so he wanted to support it.

I believe he did not attend the weeknight meetings after the change. lol

"therefore, brothers, i appeal to you to make sure that a copy of the new add for every publisher is kept in alphabetical order, perhaps using an a-z filing system to expedite it's location and so that it can be kept neat, clean and legible for scanning and emailing for up to 4 years, after which a new copy should be completed.

hi friends,it has been 20 years that i've slaved for the wt and through out the past couple of years i could feel myself fighting an urge to accept that something was not right.

i fought it off for so long only for it to resurface frequently throughout my years of pioneering, assembly/convention parts, & speaking with people about the "truth", slaving and giving to try to be a "spiritual person" but in reality i was not spiritual because spirituality (according to the org) is doing all of the things they want you to do.

which then will label you as spiritual... no !!!

I felt like that too, OP.

I decided to resolve it by reading the Bible, front to back, in order, without the aid of publications. Just the bare truth of what the book says.

I got done and my faith was weaker than ever. Baby killing, rapes, kidnapping, approved slavery, torture, racism, misogyny, hatred and evil of all kinds--all approved by both Jesus and Jehovah.

So I thought I just lacked faith, and made myself read it again, front to back.

By the time I got into early Revelation, I realized it was as whack as whack gets. It is not a holy, harmonious book inspired by a loving being. When I shut the back cover for the last time, I was done.

The great thing about doing that is you know you gave it your best shot. You will never regret or feel as though somebody else influenced you.

NEW BLOOD CARD w/ FORCED COMPLIANCE also LEGALISM

i have looked around and i don't see this covered, so i am starting a thread.. 1) the new "blood card" goes beyond being just a "blood card".. 2) a new edict concerning compliance.. pay attention to the changes.. first, the new card is termed "advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment".

the big change with the card itself is that it includes an 'override' of your "power of attorney".

this is huge.

rebel - good point. That's right, giving your blood card to the elders, technically goes against HIPPA.

Sorry for the confusion--that was not my point. HIPAA only regulates entities that electronically exchange health information, like doctors and insurance companies. The patient is always free to do whatever she wishes with her own info. There is no violation of any law when a person gives clergy her own medical information.

My point is the language on the blood card does not authorize or compel health care providers to release medical records to elders. It is not worded properly for that purpose.

Another JW Literature Trolly Experience

this morning i stopped at dollar general to get a cheap container for waste paper.

it was 11:30 am and there were two jw literature trolleys parked near the store and manned by three jws, on old man in a rolling chair, a 30 something man, and 30 something woman.

as i walked by them i glanced at the their literature rack and proceeded into the store.. i was in the store for 20 minutes and made my purchase.
