  New Tactic Used By Society

  ...or not so new-----i'm seeing that they are getting rid of people on false charges.

  to the person, they are going after them and confronting them on whatever it may be but when it comes to official reasons for deletion, they are giving false information.

  this morning, i heard that another elder got deleted for going to a believer/unbeliever's wedding.it was also reported that he was caught "talking to a disfellowshipped person".

  Hmm......am I mistaken (or functioning under "old light"?) but aren't elders ALLOWED to speak with DFed ones?

  I thought that too....and what is this ''deleted''? Is it the same as being asked to ''step down''?

  Governing Body, Blood Guilty Because of Enforcing "No Blood Transfussions"

  what do you think will there every be court cases in any countries(not just usa) because the wt will df people for taking a blood transfussion?.

  since it is a disfellowshipping offence, and since the governing body is responsible for determining what is a disfellowshipping offense for all of jws around the world,,do you think they care a heavy blood guilt for all the "thousands" of witnesses that have already died because they refused blood?.

  it will be interesting to see what develops as far as court cases in the future and as more and more jw get deprogramed the repercussions this will cause for the already reproachable governing body.

  IF ONLY! - but I suppose at the end of the day, it's the INDIVIDUAL that is choosing (on ''moral rules'' given to them) - so in reality, the decision is the person's.

  gotcha - am beginning to suspect you may have a gay daughter - what I think the WORSE thing would be is that she should live a lie for fear of shunning / hatred etc - imagine repressing feelings that are NATURAL to you just because of OTHERS' opinions and prejudices? IF you live in a close knit family group / social group (as you imply) and your daughter, knowing this, has been brave and confident enough to ''come out'', she deserves support as it must have been even more difficult for her to do so - and frankly, my opinion - SOD what anyone else may think!

  i gave blood for the first time some 18 months ago, i did it on impulse one day on the way home from work so stupidly i'd not eaten.

  felt fine after and returned home where i started to feel faint and was sick so asked a relative (a jw) to phone me in ill for my pub job.

  their response was 'serves you right for giving blood'.

  ...and mind, soul...... need I go on.?

  Am not sure of the current Bible WT view - I think maybe it's a ''conscience'' thing (thereby covering themselves in case of any lawsuits) - I'm probably wrong though.....and what a thought, a JW receiving apostate blood...

  hello it's been a long time since i was here just needed some input please from all loving parents...would you rather your daughter be:

  1. married to a guy who's not really that great (history of having lotsa women, irresponsible) but seems to love/like your daughter.

  2. be gay (with woman who is quite good, responsible and everything but - a woman...).

  1) If she was happy and in love with a man (and who loved her dearly) who had an unsuitable past - I would be happy for her.

  2) If she was gay, it wouldn't make any difference - as long as she was happy. I have no prejudice against sexual orientation.

  3) Drug addiction must be a terrible slow death, for the addict AND for the family - I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

  4) Being alone is not a bad thing - some people prefer it. It would be better to be alone than to be in a bad relationship - you never know what's around the corner !

  Lol Candidlynuts -it was a quote from someone on the WitnessWorld site upon reading the UN letter - but I'm beginning to think it's a joke from an apostate - I mean, for Goodness Sake, WHO could BE THAT stupid?
