Is he Canadian! Far out! Didn't know that! I think Canada is like our New Zealand! There's zillions of New Zealanders in Australia!
Yeah. They got too many $$$$$$ signs in their eyes like in the Looney Tunes cartoons! :)
I think I'll barf too! :(
But come on now. Don't you remember the song: "We are Jehovah's Witnesses, we speak out in..." Well, you know. :D
"We send out Christian love to Prince." Their thoughts "Because he has the money."
This is something Ray should have talked about in his book Crisis of Conscience. I am going to ask him why?

Or will he have egg on his face like Michael Jackson? Cliff Richards, I believe was a Jehovah's Witness and he didn't last either!
By the way, did YOU know that Dave Mustaine's mum was a Jehovah's Witness? She hates his music! :D
Or do you think with Prince, they were already prepared for it. "Next time some real rich pop singer joins us, we'll suck his bank account dry!" :D
And finally, what do you think of Prince's music after he became a Jehovah's Witness? Do you feel sad that he became a JW?
Tell me is there anyone else say in heavy metal or rock no roll (lol) that is a Jehovahs's Witness? I'd be interested if someone knew. -

Optus and The Watchtower - What The ....?
by Stephanus inone of our local phone companies, optus, ran an ad that i saw for the first time last night, and i was seriously wondering if the creator of that ad had been reading a lot of wbts literature lately.
it starts off with a cute looking deer singing a song about "the simple life", is then joined by a lion, then giraffes, bears, tigers, zebras and so forth, until at the end, they're all standing together, all pally-wally, in front of a lake with a snow capped mountain in the background.
it looked almost exactly like a certain magazine publishing corporation's image of the pair-a-dice erf!

I saw that ad. I didn't think the same as you did.
Elton John also brought out a song called "The Simple Life" and had a couple of songs based on the Lion King which had all these animals in it. They don't sing, but we know in these kinda films, they act more like humans than animals!
If there were humans in the ad, I would be suspicious then! -

Too many questions, not enough answers. I saw a site once (before I lost my damn bookmarks!!) that doubted the 3.5 year ministry, they reckon it was only 1-2 years. I can't remember if they said 1 or 2 (it was in a PDF file), because it's easy to get confused with the speculation out there! You all know how confusing it is!
Some people (who deny Jesus' existence) also point out that it's quite interesting how we know so little of Jesus early life as a child. We really only know him when he was about 30.
I think I am in the process of not liking BCE or CE anymore... sounds kinda politically correct. BC, AD sounds much nicer! And it puts Jesus in the equation! And since people don't know when he was born, I'll stick to the original BC, AD marking for now at least! -

Tell me about "JW United" and Chuck McManigal
by ezekiel3 inconsidering the attempted crackdown on unofficial jw websites, what can you tell me about this site?.
jehovah's witnesses united http://www.jehovah.to/.
who are these jws who claim "this site is not meant as a substitute for society literature, but as a further resource for those who would like to 'dig deeper.'"?

I think the Watchtower is crazy for not letting JW rank and file have websites that support the "true religion."
If they were paranoid that they (the website authors) would be heretics, they should track a big list of web sites that are "authentic" and hire people to look after them every now and then.
Or! Tell people to ignore sites that "sway away from the truth."
Everything should be monitored! Who knows what the JW's say when they go out preaching by themselves door-to-door! They could be part time apostates! So why do they not apply this to web sites?
It's all about faith but also about quality control.
Think smart and practical about everything! :) BTW, these are just some suggestions, not necessarily concrete ideas I have. -

TOP TEN SIGNS THAT YOU ARE AN UNQUESTIONING JEHOVAH'S WITNESS
by nicolaou in10- you vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of your god - jehovah.. .
9- you feel insulted and 'dehumanized' when scientists say that people evolved from lesser life forms, but you have no problem with the biblical claim that we were created from dirt.. .
8- you laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in multidues of demons, angels, cherubs etc.. .

DID YOU KNOW THIS about the BIBLE?
by Terry inthe oldest manuscripts are not considered the most reliable.. there are no "autograph" texts.
none.. there are no "original" manuscripts.. no two manuscripts agree.. the bible as we know it only came together in the form it now holds because certain men decided it should do so.. neither jesus nor his apostles or disciples carried bibles.. the apostle paul didn't carry a bible and none of his letters were in any of the scrolls considered holy scripture at the time he was preaching and forming christian theology as it is now understood to be.. largely, what the bible is today, is the result of certain men with certain agendas who had the authority to make their project happen.
they also had the power to destroy writings which did not agree with their agenda.

Hi Terry,
Thinker said --
Good stuff on the bible. When I read the title of your post I thought that maybe you had stumbled onto some of the more interesting things I have found inside the bible.
For example, did you know sex toys are mentioned in the bible? Eze. 16:17
Did you know the phrase "hung like a horse" comes from the bible? Eze. 23:20
Did you know that all-important prophet Isaiah walked around naked for 3 years because God told him to? Isa. 20:3
Did you know the words "watchtower will become a wasteland" is in the bible? Isa 32:14 (NIV)
Take care,
thinkerWow! thanks for telling us all this!
