Believe me, I am still reading Christian Freedom, and Ray says that they rarely went out in field service. Some of them didn't do it at all! Ray at one session was even having a go at them for NOT going out! Like why do you get others to do it but you are just sitting in your ivory towers so to speak.
No, they are lazy jerks. 
Shame on them! Jesus did, Paul did... But the GB are more important than they are I suppose.

How many are still in the "I want to argue scripture stage?"
by free2beme inwhen i left the witnesses, i picked up a bunch of christian books on what the bible says.
isn't it weird that you have to have so many books, just to tell you what another book is saying?
anyway, i went through this phase where i still wanted to argue scripture with people.

iT HASN'T been long since I left the JW's and I still want to have more insight on the Scriptures (I am sorry -- I know that's a book!) but realize more and more, how fallible people's interpretation of the Bible is! It's just one person's opinion against another. You really have to figure it out for yourself really. Commentaries help, but I just think people really don't understand the Bible. If they did, there wouldn't be so many different churches out there! On that note, even the Catholic church has other branches like Opus Dei. Even Greek Orthodox (If you forget about the pope) is very similar to Catholocism.

I can't remember the exact scripture but I do recall the bible saying somewhere about not being heavy drinkers and over eaters. So why is it that you can be dfed for abusing your body in other was but not for being fat? Obeseity is fast approaching the #1 killer of Americans. Just something to ponder....
