  what will they do?

  you all have been so helpful to me, much thanks to you guys.. due to the recent posts about df'ing and the like i was wondering what would happen to me.

  i'm 19 soon to be 20, i'm an unbaptized publisher but i want to fade and leave this crappola.

  my plan is to first finish school and move out and move on.

  Tell me if I'm wrong but you are not going to have sex with the Elders are you? How would the elders find out? That being said. Please Whoa! Stop! Hold on! You haven't even dated this guy yet and you're already talking about sex? If you want to date, then date. Use the time to learn about him. His likes and dislikes. You don't need to know if he likes sex. Most boys do. Allow the relationship to grow slowly. You'll enjoy yourself and him all the more so.

  Does anybody know..if I disassociate myself, how will I be announced??

  my husband and i have been out for well over a year now.

  but we have not been dfd (because we have not done anything wrong) we just stopped attending.

  our question is..if we go ahead and disassociate ourself, will they say at the meeting.."so and so has disassociated themselves", or rather will they say, "so and so is no longer a jehovahs witness"?

  Yes they will announce "So and So is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses"

  However -

  During the local needs talk shortly thereafter the theme could be based on staying away of APOSTATES or the hazards of IMMORALITY any number of ideas can be placed in the minds of the congregation members. You'll never know what they said about you but the rumors and subtle talking will be there for a long time.

  Does anyone else have high Cholesterol?

  turns out i've inherited this genetic condition whereby my body doesn't regulate cholesterol properly.

  even though i eat quite sensibly and exercise my cholesterol is at 7. i'm not overweight, i don't smoke and i only drink with friends.. now the doctor tells me i have 6 months to bring my cholestorol under control or i'll be on pills (statins?).

  no red meat!

  There was a CO in our area recently that was trying this 'type' of diet (Had to put that pun in). Of course as a life long witness he didn't know his blood type so at his last physical he asked that his blood by tested so he could try this diet. Since all the CO's have their medical bills payed by the society (lucky bast**ds) the charges for blood typing was received. He gets a phone call from bethel wondering why the test for bloodl typing. Since witnesses don't get blood transfusions they won't be paying the bill for the testing.

  Note: No violation of the HIPPA laws were made in the receiving or stating of this information.

  The cruelty against me can be classified as fair or unfair?

  first excuse my spelling throughout this piece.this issue has a lot of back history that is needed to understand it, so please bear with the long summary.. i am currently still a jehovah witness, on paper; i have not attended a meeting for over 6 months.

  i was reproved about 7 months ago.

  because i questioned their actions, and i had influence over others.

  Are you sure you're not in Wisconsin? I am truely sorry for what you and your fiance going through. In my Eyes your fiance will not be reinstated anytime soon. The Elders have a grudge with him and will find anything to keep him out. (HEY CHIPPEWA FALL ELDERS, YEA I'M THINKING ABOUT YOU) The Elders will say that they have no authority to keep you two apart but by keeping him DF'd you need to follow the line and NOT speak or be with him. Separation accomplished.

  You didn't say if you grew up in the hall but I am going to make that assumption. He moved in. The Elders see you as a daughter figure and him as a prowller. Their emotions as father figures overstep their proper authority as elders of the congregation. This may not be your case but is probable and most common.

  If you and he still love eachother are you going to put your lives on hold for the emotional decisions made by three angry men? They will eventually die but your love for eachother will not. Live your lives, not theirs.

  have been lurking for several weeks and posted once on freewilly's excellent thread about witnessing for newbies.

  A few hundred well worded tracts and placed in the right places might have an impact on the local community.

  About a hundred postcards sent over the past several months to witnesses and non-witnesses has done wonders for the mental condition of our local pioneers and elders. Screaming, fighting, back-biting. Studies that seemed progressive have just out and out stopped. Interested visitors have stopped going to the meetings. It just keeps getting better and better.

  Our postcard campaign has just added two more congregations. We are hearing reports of recipients wanting to find the individuals mailing these and take them to court. My, my. They just don't understand the word persecute. They should be filled with joy that they even get the cards. We've got around 45 different card selections and each month we come up with a few more. We even have a select group of 12 that I like calling my "National 12" Holiday cards that remind the recipient that they are in a cult. July's message is "National Independence and Freedom from Cults Month. Search for your Freedom.

  Guess which month the message "Cults are Spooky" is from. Being an activist is alot more fun than being a dub.

  these significant rulings overturn objections regularly made by the watchtower in recent lawsuits and may serve as a precedent for future lawsuits.

  The WTS will settle out of court. Lots of dollars and a non-disclosure agreement. They will never allow this to go to a jury.

  In honor of my Grandmother

  today is her birthday.

  she passed away 25+ years ago....months after being coerced into being baptized a jw.

  i learned in later years a blood transfusion could have helped if not saved her.. .
