  What was the ratio of witnesses in your town?

  back in 1988, at the height of our activity here, we were 400 witnesses in a town of 30,000.. that was 1 witness per 75 population, which is alot !!!!!!.

  today, the city merged with the town next door, and there is about 450 witnesses for 125,000 population.

  this means only 1 witness per 270.. gee, did the witnesses decrease here !!!.

  City ratio is 1 witness per 190 population but add the surrounding territory that the congregation is obligated to serve and the ratio goes to 1 witless per 600.

  Numbers within the congregation are dropping faster than the community is growing.

  Nov KM: Hospital Visits and Disaster Relief Donations

  a couple of points from the u.s. branch november 2005 km.. in the u.s. there is a federal law (hipaa) protecting a patient's privacy.

  the km announces what a publisher must do when admitted to a hospital, if he/she wants to receive elders visits.. a question box discussing donations made to the worldwide work rather than specific disaster relief.. see the attachments.. .

  Undercover: To your question, No. Your medical records are not made available to the elders, nor can they speak to the doctors or nurses in you behalf. In our area hospital, when a visitor enters the hospital with the intention of seeing a patient, he approaches the visitors desk. Following is a list of questions and proper answers as applied to the HIPPA law. VISITOR ATTENDENT "Is Joe Smith in the hospital? "I Cannot give out any patient information.

  "Joe Smiths room number please" "Your name please" checks for your name on the patients visitor access list.

  . If found "Joe Smiths room number is XXX"

  . If not found "I'm sorry, no information is available, you will need to check with a member of the family for that information.

  The drama was to confuse the R&F. It recommends that witnesses not go to college (again). It is dangerous and besides, what more reward should one have than to spend our time and uneducated talents handing out magazines and begging for "donations".

  One of the releases was a book entitled "The Bible, What It Really Teaches" )or something like that).

  And of course, the convention theme "Godly Obedience", obey the elders or else!

  Check your Organized to Do Jehovah's Will book. On page 154 bottom paragraph it states "When it is necessary to disfellowship an unrepentant wrongdoer from the congregation, a brief announcement is made, simply stateing: "[Name of person] is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses." There is no need to elaborate. This will alert faithful members of the congregation to stop associating with that person. (1 Cor. 5:11)"

  Sounds like many congregations are not keeping up with there reading of approved reading material.

  still not a conscience matter... although for the countries that demand that everyone register and actually walk in the booth to cast a vote, a witness may, if his conscience allows, register and go into the booth and add a new box labelled "jesus christ", then checkmark that box and vote for him... hahaha cool eh?!!!.

  To the society, all decisions are a conscience matter. You can vote, take blood, whatever. The only thing you'll do is disassociate yourself from this religion cult. It's getting easier to get out. The GB right down to the elders are just lazy. They create all these rules and if you don't like it. All they say is "OK, You're not one of Jehovah's Witnesses anymore."
