many people wonder why jws continue to try and deceive the world into thinking that they are the (only ones) persecuted.
nearly every news-report i have read for the past years, will contain the names of other religions that are persecuted right along with the jws, yet it seems that the watchtower just will not open it's eyes to the persecution that other churches receive as well.

They can't. Doing so would remove their martyr status and they would lose their ?specialness? as a people.
They pulled this same crap during the Nazi era in regard to the Jewish people. How many Jews perished under that sicko Hitler, and yet the Watchtower plainly stated that only the Witnesses were true martyrs.
Doesn't surprise me at all.

I can't speak to Russle's motives, but believe that the group originally had good intentions. The more the GB bought into the 'spirit directed' ego idea and changed their bible to back up evolving opinions, the more restrictive and isolated the group became eventually joining the ranks of other cults.

The first Doom was pretty good. Haven't tried the others. Do you also play an older game called Age of Wonders, and if so, have you ever been able to figure a way to win as Puck. I'm about to give up, goblins just don't have enough powers...

personnally, what upset me the most is all the wasted time.
i'm now 21 years old, you'll say that i'm still young but i know someone you were at the same elementary school than me and she's now in university.
Probably the most frustrating thing for me is that I made so many important, pivitol decisions in my life based on a deliberate lie.
It has robbed me and my family of a decent retirement, and caused many shattered relationships.

i've been a fan of seinfeld for a few years now, problem is when the show was in its hey day, i never watched it.
not until it's release on syndnicated channels did i become a watcher of it, and only after that did i realize just how great that show was.. watching the show becker with ted danson appears to been a hott show as well, at least in it's begining stages.
much like anything else in life, many good projects have a great start, time however, begins to take it's toll and things just aren't as much fun anymore.. what are some of your favorite syndnicated programs rehashed, sitcoms and otherwise?.

straight away told im not ready for baptism, not with the amount and depth of questions, that ive been warned about these sites and that apostates will do anything to knock jws.
proving its the true religion bec the bible says it will happen (shows me scriptures).
also told it doesnt happen with any other religious group - usually people just quietly leave and make no fuss - further proof that ths is the true religion.. i asked about all the dates where predictions were made, eg 1914, 1975. was told there were some articles loosly talking the 'possibility' of something happening, but the wt never said it definitely would - how could it, these are just ordinary men, not profits.

You said you had a group of friends before you began studying? I'd call them up and invite them back into your life. You may get a little ribbing, but I'm relatively certain they'd love to have you back. You seem like a very nice person.
