  hello my friends hope u r all well?

  what i would like the poeple know in the chat room of a night i would like u to know that 1) i have a learning promblem 2) im not a good speller as sum 1 really hurt & upset me last in the room & im thinking of leaving cos of this person 3) my parents died now im living with my foster parents i call then both mom & dad as they have been very good to me 3) i have got abit of dyxsile so if no 1 wants to help me then please dont talk behind my back if u have sum thing to say....post me a message 4) i do belive in god & all im asking is for sum help 2 help me on my travels thank u 4 listening angel.

  i prayed and prayed about it.

  i figured my prayers weren't going to be answered because jehovah doesn't hear your prayers if you aren't a witness.

  i prayed for the witneses to come but they never did.

  So if I pray for truth and Avon shows up or the Girl Scouts, should I become a cross dressing cookie eater!!! People look for signs and there just is not any that I have seen. If you 'LOOK' for signs you will find them in anything. But the real reason is you want that outcome and choose to interpret the 'signs' to support your own belief. So when Avon shows up I will check out the lady, I will buy the Girl Scout cookies and take it as a sign I need to date more and go buy milk! Signs are all what you want to make of them.

  Its a lovely story, we should all find such joy in life and marrage. For some the jw faith is all they need or want in life and if it brings them joy I'am happy for them. This couple had a love which surpassed religion, 75 years is a lifetime in itself. So best wishes to the happy couple!

  the lovely jbeanz brought up the peoples temple in the my book of bible stories thread.

  the jonestown tragedy ... images of which i'll never get out of my head.

  then in other threads we've talked about mounting scandels of the jw's, losing young believers, older members having doubts, doctinal switcheroos, the ever-increasing threat of the internet .... .... it all makes me wonder: .

  I see them becoming a completely enveloped community. The "world" will just be to dangrous for them to live in. Little Bethals will pop up all over, becoming a haven for true belivers. They will exibit more control in these "artificial habitats", taking away all remaining outside influence. This is the senario I see playing out.

  Letter from PO......opinions????

  after leaving jw, being a former regular pioneer for many years, i wanted to still help others is a meaningful way.

  this year i am raising money for the leukemia & lymphoma society.

  i am training to run a marathon, 26.2 miles as part of my fund raising.

  I would thank them for the donation. Even though the only reason they gave it was to get that letter in your hands. Very nice wording, but still telling you the JW way is a 'better' way to help people. Thank them and run like the wind!!!!!!!

  i have long thought that a billboard campaign might be effective in reaching many jw's, especially those without a computer.

  imagine a large donation to jwd with the stipulation that it support a message billboard near every assembly hall and summer convention center.

  The Social Structure in the Congregation

  ever notice how the "happiest people on earth" are also the most class-oriented?

  to say that jesus said his followers should all be on equal footing, it's incredible how much the r&f witness is not on equal footing.

  the social structure in the congregation is more complex than the blueprints of a nuclear warhead, but just so that you "remember your place", see if you can find where your niche was/is:
