I'm just introducing myself. Somebody said I should because you welcome people. So far nobody has. But I'll get over it. LOL

Read the forward to Volume 2. Unlike the WT today, the founder readily conceeded mistakes rather than trying to cover it over with new light.

Might as well take the opportunity. I was a very active dub for 15 years, but there were things I could not reconcile. And when people can't reconcile things, eventually they drop out. The history of the world is about groups started because somebody was deeply offended and sought like-minded support. I am now a Bible Student and absolute supporter of Charles Russell, although I do not worship him. He was a teacher, not to elevated above his brothers as is the tendency among men. He is not infallible, but every dub or x-dub owe most of what they know to what he was commissioned to write. When he died and Rutherfraud took over, the Truth almost died with him and what went forth was counterfeit. The counterfeit tried to convince one and all that anybody that didn't go along with the new leadership just sort of vaporized. It's Satan's old tactic of if you don't think the thief exists you won't bother looking for him. Well, google Bible Students. And if you really want the Truth you might want to consider attending one of our many conventions. http://hosting.brownbearsw.com/WB/Conventions--http://dawnbible.com/conv.htm Peace out.

Why would this even cross my mind?!?!?!?!
by Juniper inwell, after 10 years of being together, hubby has decided that he's found his 'soul mate' (the second time this year, neither of which was me) and is moving out.. i'm thirty years old and no kids, thanks to the fact that i spent 12 years in full time service telling everyone it's better to wait until the 'new system' for raising a family.
that's all beside the point - and perhaps better suited for my counselor.
:) anyway, the thought that keeps going through my mind is "this never would have happened if i didn't leave" and "how am i going to find someone to spend my life with at this age and who will understand me the way an ex-jw can"???

by lovelylil inthis interesting statement was made on a bible student forum and sent to me by one of my friends.
i have copied it the same way he sent it to me.
here a bs is explaining how the lord himself chose the date 1874 as his "invisible return".

"Some never see great truths with the same clearness and fulness as others do, and yet are following on, their hearts leading more rapidly that their reasoning.......Those facts stand, regardless of whether they are connected with one Covenant or another Covenant or no Covenant. You and I dear reader, believed in the death of Christ as our redemption price before we had any knowledge of Covenants. We were justified by faith in the precious blood, and not by our knowledge or ignorance of the Covenants, nor by our understanding of the philosophy of the Ransom and the Atonement." What Pastor Russell Taught p7
