Urgently Required: A Royal Mistress..
by Englishman init just occurs to me that with the wedding of charles & camilla there appears to be no royal mistress waiting behind the scenes.. just imagine..for the first time in centuries, the prince of wales hasn't got a mistress waiting to soothe his fevered brow.
i mean..who ever heard of anyone actually marrying their mistress..good grief.. so c'mon, gals, anyone interested in applying for the job?
ok, we know charlie boy is something of a tree-hugger and has an earnest desire to become a tampon.

poor ol' Charles just can't do anything right, can he? I think that "horseface" actually looked very elegant on the day of their nuptials. My personal opinion is that "big ears" deserves a break from all the insults. The rest of us I believe are just highly envious that they have a love durable enough to last decades of taunts, prejudice and all the antequated traditions of the british monarchy...you big meanies frog

There's always an MS walking around with a sign saying "please take your seats", "quiet please", "keep moving"...those areas outside the main arena are usually designated for "mothers with babies", old people, or unholy disfellowhipped people that no-one wants to sit next to...

I thought you might have been referring to ANZAC day! (Aust & NZ Army Corps, day)...but of course Footballl is probably a better known insititution...during the AFL (Australian Football League) this weekend before all games the players have to pay tribute to the "diggers" (Aust War Veterans) before kickoff, it's always amusing to see them fumble and mouth their way through the National Anthem...bit like kingdumb melodies lol

Discipline for Lying -- Opinions Please
by adelmaal inour daughter is 10 and she is in 4th grade.
she has been having a tough time this year with schoolwork and she has started early puberty (boobs, acne, pubic hair, crushes on boys, etc.).
recently, we have been having problems with her lying to us and making up stories/excuses.

As a JW kid lying became very much a part of everday life. If you told the truth you got beat, if you didn't you got beat, you just couldn't win. I've had to re-educate myself entirely these last years in being honest at all cost. It is really essential that your daughter gets through this sooner rather than later. I suggest a heart-to-heart is really in order. When I was controlled by fear not to do things, it wasn't enough to not do them. I wish so much that my parents taught me to do the right thing as a way of taking care of myself, protecting myself, and loving myself. She needs to know that she is the most important person in her life first, that others are secondary. She needs to accept her limitations and give credit where credit is due. It certainly sounds like you're daughter is an above average achiever, but somewhere in her mind she has this idea that she needs to aspire to some sort of perfect 10 on eveything, where do you think she has gotten that idea? Further too it would be beneficial for her to learn the value of Constructive Critisism, that's what we pay the teachers for afterall. We wouldn't be going to school if we in fact had no need of help and assistance. I'm sure she's a real sweetheart, and you sound like a wonderful mother. This is a really important subject to deal with, as if she takes it into her teenage years it will really diminish her self-worth subconsciously. All the best mum. froglett

Did life as a JW turn you into an alcoholic?
by hamsterbait ini certainly blamed my drink problem at first on the frustrations and blah blah blah of the life as a jw.
if you had a drink problem as a jw what caused yours.
does leaving aid recovery?

Jws or adventists?
by melmac in.
expanding on the topic about jws x mormons.... which one would you choose?
adventists or jws?
-
Frog
personally I think the adventists way of life further incringes on your lifestyle, can't eat poor piggies, or crustaceans, and have to obey the sabbath after sundown friday to sundown Saturday's. As far as I know nightclubbing, homosexuality, and alcohol is all strong prohibited. They also encourage teenage baptisms and excommunicate people. My first job was working for an Adventist family, although a lot of the held beliefs are similar in a way, at least I, to a degree, had the option of going out in FS on a Saturday morning, and didn't have to worry about pre-cooking meals the day before and all that. At the end of the day it's a hypothetical question and not really relivent, but if I had to choose being raised as a dub or an adventist, I'd probably say dub...
