  How embarassing...

  imagine starting a topic and hardly anyone replies.

  and you have to keep bumping yourself to the top because of either your ego or passion for the topic.. unc did a number on this a couple of days ago but it was too subtle.

  Could a Baptism be Null and Void based on Circumstances?

  what if you get baptized as a minor?

  does it really legally hold up?

  or how about it if your baptism has basically felt like a fraud to you because you did it for the wrong reasons?

  what actually validates your baptism?.

  the water inmersion or saying yes to the trick questions?.

  if b then you can say you never said yes...they would need to prove it with 2 witnesses which they will never come up with thus yout baptsim can be void and null?.

  i would say that the org would say that it's the dedication that you're supposed to make to JH in prayre & in your heart...water immersion is just a symbolism of your dedication to others. x

  hi MsMcD...I often think of your & your daughters, cos I know how tough it is on you, and fully understand from personal experience.

  Being shunned the hardcorest by my eldest sister & her husband (such a hateful man he is )...and also by my ma, and my other sister, but not quite as hardcore, still get the occassional txt and short chat on the phone...it does get easier though, and I've been surprised as to how many who I never thought would ever but have come around to seeing things my way. so hang in there ma, it won't last forever :) much luv frog x

  hey there GG/BG...I've been personally giving this allot of though of late, and I've decided that I'm going to write to the society & ask for my dedication to be annulled. a good friend of mine recommened i do it, and i think it's definitely worth a shot.

  i believe that if you were a minor then you should have a very good case. you will want to state that you never really understood what it meant to make a dedication to JH in your heart and in prayre, and that this was never really explained to you. i've heard that if you've since pioneered since after turning adult age that then the society had rejected requests to annul on the basis that they state that registering as a pioneer showed your adult committment, so you will also want to find your way around that claim if you fall into that category.

  good luck, it's worth a try. perhaps have a solicitor send it in on your behalf, but don't antagonise them too much as it might get their back up. unfortunately you have to play their game in these things...x

  i dropped this bomb on an inactive dub friend of my pa's earlier this week, he was thrown by it, and he's generally not fazed by most things.

  i don't believe any announcement has ever been made... most dubs i'm sure are unaware of this fact. some seem to not think it important, for others it's enough to push them out for good. they will never make a formal announcement, the truth would stumble too many...x

  hehe uncle, i've been feeding dad easter eggs all weekend lol...and we even put a buck through a pokey machine at the casino last night lol...and tonight we watched passion of the Christ on the box hehe...small steps, but getting there! x
