by tsunami_rid3r infriends will use friends for their certain goals, but there are some out there who are true friends.
now this may seem "stalinish" but i'm just wondering if one of my friends is using me for their one goal.
here is my test: one day out of the blue, call them up and ask them if they want to see a movie or something that involves hanging out with me, nothing to do with hanging out with their bf/gf or other friends.

Are young JWs staying in or moving out of the borg?
by zagor inreally, just wondering if new generation of dubs is mostly faithful or tempted to try it all out.
are they faithful to the mother borg or are they starting to question it all.
i mean 10 to 20 years ago it took ages to come across some undesirable info about the borg, but now it is everywhere.

From my experience, and what I've seen, far more are leaving than are staying in. My 2 older sisters are still in, but my slightly younger brother and I are out. I have 3 other younger siblings, but only time with tell.
I think it's in part due to the wealth of information that we have now. Young people live on the internet, and have access to a wider scope of information than ever before. It's a chain reaction too. From my generation (I'm 25y/o) of young wittnesses, the majority of the ones I knew or acquainted with have left the org, there are only handful still in. So you've got almost this whole generation missing, which means many of their younger siblings may follow in their foot steps. Then you've also got the fact that the org has set itself apart from the "normal" world in such an impossible way. They have opened themselves up to allot of scrutiny because of their policies, and young people are switched on to that. They will tell you the young people leaving is just a sign of the end, but it's more a sign of mismanagement and deception that with time has become exposed. frog

by I quit! inmy wife is going to the assembly in salt lake city over the 4th of july weekend.
anyone here condemned to that one?
i heard they are going to have huge fireworks display to celebrate the 4th and.........well, maybe i didn't hear that.

For me it's light bulbs --- and for you?
by Panda inwhat is your daily household irritation?
for me one of the household daily irritations is dead light bulbs.
i often day dream about having every light socket , indoors and out with new light bulbs.

I went through a period like that Crump! I'd be driving down the street, and even the street lights would burn out?! Got very weird for a bit there. I have a habbit of keeping the switch at the halfway point for too long, this blows em' out every time!

I'm giving plasma tomorrow!!
by Frog inwell actually i'm giving the whole bit, plasma, platelets, while/red cells...for the first time and i'm very excited!
sounds very massochistic, but it's not for the love of pain, it's just that it's taken me so long to become mentally ofe' with it.
i've had a mental block about it for so long, but have gradually enabled myslef to overcome it by educating myself more fully on the subject.

God which house should I comment on?? I've lived in a tonne these past couple of years, hard to keep up?! Last year I lived 6months in a huge very run down place in North London with 8 others, the only thing keeping the ceiling from falling in, was the flaking paint!

Food service jobs do suck a bit. I did my time at Mcdonalds 10years back. Lots of crazy sh*t goes down on the job when you're working with a bunch of horny teenagers...oh the memories;) get prepared for the deep friend smell, it gets right up into your abnoids and into all you gear
