a sense of spirituatlity runs far deeper than the outward displays of religious members, and a standard belief in the benevolent and transcendent. while I myself can say for a certainty that I am an athiest who has no regard for entertaining notions of supernatural, I can still say that my belief system is continuously injected with meaning generated from the tangible encounters I have with my surroundings:) x

Suppose The Watctower is Sucessfull in Shutting Down Quotes Site.
by Apostanator inwhat would prevent us from using the same information that quotes currently uses to open up our own site?
the watchtower would come after us and we may possibly have to close it down, then someone else could open another one up.
we could have a field day !!

i'd like to say their claims are entirely baseless, but they seem to be on good advice that they've got a chance at sueing for punitive damages. it really is completely crap that they want to dissolve a site that merely replicates completely context their very own work! Obviously the wt.quotes site is a real thorn in their side, why else would they risk going after Peter for it. x

Do you think a religious war is coming?
by free2beme init seems that in modern times, it is not so much about what country you live in, as much as it is about the god you worship.
people within their own countries borders are fighting their fellow national citizen in the name of their god.
is this a sign that a religious war is coming or just an example of a ever growing populations growing pains?

Frog
for secular countries in the west it's not so much about religion, as it is about a clash of cultures/civilisations. No war can in these so-called civilised times could overtly be called by multi-ethnic societies in the west in the name of religion, since on the surface diversity is applauded, and relgious freedoms is fundamental to peace. Imagine the internal conflict in melting pots like the UK. It's the promotion of the fear of the "other" that generates a revival of citizenship status, and forces ignorant people to claim sides. This patchwork demographic will and has inevitability led to growing pains in the past when civilisations have come together.

it has been several years since i have seen her or heard from her.

I have spent years trying to figure out how I feel about her and how I want to treat her and how to talk to her……..and now I just don’t care any more.
know how you feel lisa babe:) I too have decided to let the emotional binds go. I've stopped trying to repair the unfixable and rationalise with myself about these things. It takes a little time away from the situation to be able to grasp full emotional independent from them and the situation. Everyone else moves on, and so must we:) Thanks for spilling your beans to us. frog x

Why is heart disease and cancer not mention in the Bible?
by free2beme inthe two leading causes of death in humans is heart disease and cancer.
these are as old as the human race is in history.
yet the creator of all life, the person who knows us inside and out, mentions only diseases in the bible that can be seen and diagnosed from the outside.

the bibble is a far fetched story book of old. For the same reason that the bibble can't be applied to a majority of aspects of contemporary times.

FEELING VERY DEPRESSED, EMPTY. LIFE IS CONFUSING...
by stillAwitness inmeetings are dragging me down.
it sucks because i still live at home and have no choice but it has gotten to the point where i have left early at times just because i cannot stand to hear all the b.s from the platform.
how do i just keep doing what i have to do till i know i can leave?
-
Frog
hey there stillawittness babe, gosh I know we can all relate to your confusion, and where better to vent it than in a community of understanding such as this:)
Just try to remember babe that even though you thought (were told) that you had all the answers to lifes most perplexing problems for the past 22 years, that you didn't. Nothing has changed except that you are brave enough to get perspective. At the end of the day babe, we must acknowledge that there is no fundamental truth, or single path to knowledge. We just have to learn to be content to be. At the end of the day 'we are what we do', and it's almost as simple as that.
PM me anytime, I would love to hear an update from you:) frog x
