  how long will it be before the wt sets up a theme park.

  with all that money from the sale of brooklyn property it would be a shame not to use it for some other cash generating scheme.

  we could have the hall of the presidents with robotic figures all driven by hot air.. why not the beth sareem experience.

  Getting out of the WT

  can anyone tell me if there has ever been a case of jw relatives kidnapping another relative who wished to leave the cult.

  even if the restraint only lasted a few hours.

  i have an account of a rather stunned female jw who was put under what she described as " house arrest" until the judicial committee threw her out officially.

  The small size of KH windows

  it was only a few days ago when driving through a small town in the uk i noted a kh.

  nothing unusual except that one side wall was totally devoid of anything.

  the other side of the building revealed three very small windows, and i mean small.

  The joy of selecting elders

  my wife and i left the wt in 1973, around the time of the great shift from congregational overseer and lesser mortals to that of elders.

  it was an interesting time having been told for decades how useless elders were, we now saw everything turned upside down as congregation committees gathered in holy conclaves to try and find some elder material in the kh.

  rumours flew about.

  Why do they walk so slowly?

  i have only to turn into any road or street and if there are any jws operating within my area of vision i can pick them out.. it may only be something that occurs in uk but they actually walk at half speed.

  yet if i see any local jw in the town shopping they fly along, except the very old ones.

  we are in the end of the end time.

  as a df person i was pleasantly suprised one day to meet an old friend, who was an elder, along with his wife.

  in spite of the ability of jehovah to see all things they were very friendly and we shared some refreshment together.

  he offered me his business card and advised me he was now a financial adviser and could organise pensions.

  1975 and all that

  i well recall the husband of my sister-law telling us the most earth shattering news.

  this was around 1973 and 1975 fever was starting to take over many individuals.

  with breathless excitement he told us the follow story.

  JWs and Gnomes

  here in the uk we are very keen on gardening and many of our gardens are adorned with various features.

  but one that stands out to many people is the love many uk residents have for gnomes.

  now you must understand that whatever you read about political trends and devotions to various elected governments the real divisions in the uk are not along party lines.
