how would you respond to the following quote.....i got this from a pro jw site.
i don't post on the site, just read.......i just wanted to know how you all would respond to this post.never let anyone cause you to doubt the organization...true there have been changes in the past in which the society readily admits to but the bottom line is that this is the channel jehovah has chosen...remember the vision of his chariot...those wheels could change any direction on a dime...it is our responsibility to move with that chariot and keep up otherwise we will be left behind with nothing better to do than finding fault with this precious organization!.
i would like to know more about the chariot wheels too....

atrolling we will go atrolling we will go.. another subject of this post could be: the devaluation of christian conscience in jehovah's witnesses.. you ever notice that the wt will sometimes print things that some christians can do with a clean conscience.
things that in the past were a big no no but now are ok?
since there are a lot of things i could do with a clean conscience: birthdays; smoke; oral sex; bla bla bla, could i use this reasoning as a defense?
No everything is a conscience matter. Your conscience either condemns you or commends you for what you do. Now true, there may be a sanction for the decision but, that does not keep it from being a conscience matter.
Im just saying that if a person does not use their conscience to make decisions they can never become mature Christians/person. The WTS overrides the conscience by becoming the conscience, making witnesses some of the most spiritually, emotionally, and mentally immature people in the world. This is evidenced by them needing the WTS to tell them whether its ok to put a sick or dying animal out of its misery, and what box they should check on their blood card.
many of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).
Guilty as charged. At least I'm not a murdering, false prophet.

so, with the' new disassociating light' wil they have to da all of their overweight witnesses in line with the scriptures:.
'quit mixing with anyone who is a fornicator....greedy person...'?.
surely by their actions of overeating, and greedy persons not inheriting the kingdom, they would be 'showing by their actions' that they are not a jehovah's witness?.
However, the Bible is putting the two, or three if we count the drunkards, on the same level but the WTBTS doesn't.
Im not saying whats right or wrong, just how the society feels about it.
I think the WTBTS does include greedy, drunkard, gluttons on the same level as fornicators. One problem is that in a single act a person can become a fornicator accourding to the WTS. On the other hand greed, being a drukard and gluttony cant be defined in a single act and so seem to get more leeway than fornication.
The problem as the society views it in those areas is not so much the act but whether anyone knows about it.
If someone gets drunk and many ppl know about it, a jc must be formed. If no one knows, 1 elder can handle the matter through shepherding.
the u.s. house of representatives approved on thursday a sweeping set of rules aimed at forcing states to issue all adults federally approved electronic id cards, including driver's licenses.
under the rules, federal employees would reject licenses or identity cards that don't comply, which could curb americans' access to airplanes, trains, national parks, federal courthouses and other areas controlled by the federal government.
the bill was approved by a 261-161 vote.
IP_SEC, the UCC applies to business and commerce.
Are we not all considered corporations by the governent? JOHN DOE (strawman) not John Doe(the real person)?
I find federal law very confusing and contradictory, so maybe I'm wrong here, or interpreting it the wrong way?

The reason I bring this up is because I've had 3 bros and sis this week ask me what to do on their new DPA card. They want someone to tell them which boxes to check. Its a symptom of the GB keeping them imature. Now they are even paralyzed on what to do in the event of a so called conscience matter.
Where the Society started to go wrong was to try to draw a line around certain things as NOT being conscience matters. Which is ridiculous. EVERYTHING is a conscience matter
Exactly, Exactly, Exactly. They create dichotomy were none exists

Bill of rights dont acutally apply to you unless you reserve them under the UCC 1-207 do they? The Constitution and Bill of rights as far as I understand have no jurisdiction over US citizens, only State Citizens. Right?

can anyone confirm this is what it looks like?
i may be delivering old news.
I?ve taken the real numbers from the 2004 0% countries and got some telling figures. During 2003 those countries made up 14% of the net growth. In 2004 they only made up 4% of the net growth. When I get some time I will add ?02, ?01, ?00 to the mix to see how bad this trend actually is.

had come to stress the letter of the Law rather than its spirit. And they emphasized their traditions, putting such above the teaching of God. (Matthew 12:9-12; 15:1-9) As a consequence, the people in general were not taught to think in terms of principles.
Exactly Ezekiel this is the kind of reasoning I'd expect from a true prophet as yourself :P.
Remeber the unclean woman who had the flow of blood in the crowd? Luke 8:40. She was breaking gods law and Jesus didnt even mention it. Why, he wasnt a slave to the letter of the law nor was he a slave to another mans conscience. He was reasonable, yielding. The Society is not!

Of course, it wasn't a problem as a dub, since "conscience matter" just means, "We haven't forbidden it yet".
Exactly AA. The Dub conscience is an imature pile of stinky crap. The society pretends that it allows for conscience, but the fact is that the society is the conscience.
(Providing there was no outside influence suggesting it was wrong, therefore making me question my belief.)
Outside influence is ok, you can still become mature in your thinking if you are influenced. We are all influenced by one thing or another throughout life. The problem is that the society keeps people perpetually imature not by influence but by overruling the person with law.
By making something a conscience matter by not forbidding it, they infer that somethings are conscience matters and somethings arent. When the fact is that EVERYTHING is a conscience matter. They thereby weaken the individuals ablity to make decisions without the society's help. No?
