Believe me, I hope it does happen; I'd resign that very day. I just don?t see the reason for it. Sagging numbers, apathy from the r&f, legal problems, it would make more sense to me to become more tolerant.

What possible reason could they have to DA you? Your not dead weight, unless its to scare you in to being liturature delivery people again? I dont know but I dont think they want to go pissin people off more than they are right now. I could be completely wrong but I just dont see things going that way. If they start DAing folks for being inactive and we treat them like they are DF'd it seems like it would piss too many r & fers off. Shoot I wouldnt be able to talk to 3/4 of my family. If they started that it'd be my excuse to leave.

to the person, they are going after them and confronting them on whatever it may be but when it comes to official reasons for deletion, they are giving false information.
this morning, i heard that another elder got deleted for going to a believer/unbeliever's wedding.it was also reported that he was caught "talking to a disfellowshipped person".
Holy crap really? I gave a funeral once then at the graveside I did the little witness grave side service and then a catholic priest did his little cerimony thing. No one said a word. There were a lot of catholics and jws at the funeral and everyone was happy.
many of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).
One sad form of mind control is that, you dont have to 'promote a sect' to be considered an apostate. All you have to do is dogmaticly hold views that are different from the governing body or be critical of the org. Hmmm if there is a GB vote on doctrine change are the minority considered apostates for having the wrong view?
A side note. Elders are encouraged not to bother calling on ppl DF'd for a critical attitude toward the org in their once a year visit to DF'd ones. My thought has always been that this is probably because they dont want to take a chance on those elders being converted to doubters by those apostate liars.

I appreciate this information, having not heard the word "deleted" used by the JWs. Is it used in any of their publications at all, such as the elders manual?
