Questions for the District Overseer
by slimboyfat inan elder is bringing the do over to see me, so has anyone got any good questions i can put to him?
the thought occurred to me that maybe my semi-apostate ways have somehow come to light and this is the big showdown.
however the mundane truth is that a local elder is fitting a straggling irregular publisher (that'll be me) into a rather desolate schedule for the visiting dignitary.

Slim, ask him about the May 1st Watchtower QFR.
Tell him you always knew you were of the heavenly fold, and that you will now start partaking, and will be happy to mediate, on his behalf, between him and Jesus.

DF for celebrating Birthdays??
by lrkr inhas anyone ever heard of someone being dfd for celebrating their or their childrens birthday???.
(my first post- took a lot to work up the courage- i'll tell more details later).

Irkr, if you don't want to be disfellowshipped then be careful how you tread through this. If an elder approaches you over this (odds on it will be two elders), it doesn't matter what obvious proof you provide from the bible, they will ask you if you believe that the 'faithful and discreet slave' are directing Gods organization on Earth. If you say no, then your out. If you say yes, then, as your actions are against their teachings, you now on parole.
If you don't want to be removed, (perhaps for family reasons), then I would advise using 'emotional stress and anxiety, with Doctor visits', as an answer to every question they ask you.
Of course, if it doesn't matter to you whether you stay or go, then I would totally recommend an Elder meeting, and dress as Crusty the Clown. Then maybe it would have all been worth it just for your exit!

Hi, and welcome.
I know someone who was disfellowshipped for sending his mother a birthday card because he loved the poem inside.
It wasn't even her birthday!

I think Jesus would be too busy trying to excize the demonz in the 'talking' computer to engage in JWD discution.

Watchtower--NGO With WANGO!
by Dogpatch inwatchtower--ngo with wango!
if the watchtower society truly believes in a "new world" then why are they joining organizations that are attempting to make this old one better?
activitieswango is unique in regularly bringing together a prestigious, international leadership of non-governmental organizations, as well as other prominent leaders, representing diverse nations, perspectives, and realms of activity, and who are integrally involved in advancing world peace and creating a better society and world.

Randy, I think that list just shows NGOs. I don't think it shows NGOs that are part of WANGO.
