Everyone Welcome!
by Rod P inremember those little leaflets we used to hand out to people, inviting them to the assemby to hear those great public talks.
this little leaflet would highlight the theme, along with the date, time and place of the assembly.
on the same page was the nice heading "everyone welcome!".

i was wonderin...
by susu812 inhow many ppl here grew up entirely surrounded by jw's?
all of my family and any friends i have had my entire life are jw's and now that i am df'd i have no association.
for my ex who also got df'd he's ok because his group of friends (my old group as well) have pretty much faded out, but as for me i have no one.

I guess im lucky in a way that i had friends from school that i still see on a regular basis and then theres my fiance and his family.... but it doesnt replace the number of friends that i lost in the truth. es

What's the best way to FADE away from the JW's?
by JH inwhat do you think is the best way to fade away from the jw org, without being df'd and without being bothered by them?.
just stop going and not answer their calls?.
change congregation, and never show up?.
-
Es
Yeah i must admit fading was relatively easy for me too....i just told my parents that i was interested anymore coz of all the crap i had been through which they kind of accepted...my dad still nags me to come back so i guess thats one downfall from not being D\F of D\A. As he is an elder I told him to tell the other elders not to bother coming over. es

Now Elders Are Making Elderly & Infirm Feel Guilty For "Being Hooked Up"!
by minimus inmy mom as well as a few others are "hooked up by phone" to the meetings.
lately, the elders are saying in their talks that if a brother or sister could be at the meetings but instead are "hooked up", then they are hurting jehovah by not having regular association with the "friends" at the kingdom hall.

Hi everybody, I´m a new member from Spain
by benito infirst of all, i want to apologize for all the mistakes i will probably make, i m not very good at english, it s very hard for me to think in another language different than my native tongue (spanish, of course!!)..
i ve been lurking through this forum for a long time but i didn t dare write here because of my lack of knowledge of the language but i changed my mind.
i think i can give a different point of view from other members of usa of uk, it seems that most of the members are from theses countries.
