Pretty much living my entire adult life in JW land I had such a one sided biased against the world including gays...In my own family there were a number of gay members that I thought I was so above them and better than them because the Bible said so...I had a cousin die of AIDS in the early 80's and felt no remorse at all...since my departure 4 years ago I have redirected my priorities in life to include those of not my way of life...I currently have a gay cousin about my age and see the world in a whole new light...I no longer feel superior to anyone and accept those for who they are...this has been a long and hard road back to simplicity I'm just sorry it took so long...

I wish I were a JW in good standing again...
by zeroday inno thinking no decisions to make just work at my menial job scrubbing toilets and washing windows, go out in service every week attend all the meetings answer at the appropriate questions and no oral sex...yes times would be so simple for me now but then i would have to deal with my atheism and i'm sure i will go directly to hell...

It may be that some who have been serving God have planned their lives according to a mistaken view of just what was to happen on a certain date or in a certain year. They may have, for this reason, put off or neglected things that they otherwise would have cared for. But they have missed the point of the Bible’s warnings concerning the end of this system of things, thinking that Bible chronology reveals the specific date. -

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home.
I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.
The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'. So I opened my shirt revealing my curly
silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security application.
When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office.
She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too'And then the fight started.....

Questions Asked of Candidates for JW Baptism....
by almostbitten inas a non-witness, i've heard that potential candidates for baptism have to answer a series of questions.
1. what are some of these questions?
2. is this an actual form or are these questions oral (be nice!)?

It might be different now but in 1976 when I went thru the questions there were 100 questions broken up into 2 sessions...basically they want to know if you agree with everyting the WTS teachs if you do not answer to their satisfaction you will not be baptized as simple as that...once you are baptize you enter into a legal arrangement to uphold and accept anything the WTS teaches...

Sisters who dared to take the lead...
by zeroday ini was out in service during a week day with a car group of sister pioneers...very few brothers went out in the week...we had 6 people and i was the only male...we arrived at our street and the head sister pioneer turned to everyone and said, "ok you 2 start at this end, you 2 start on the other side and work this way and me and bro (myself) will start here...she then got a horrified look on her face and turned to me and said, "if that's ok with you"...i just said, "sounds good to me"...at that moment i thought how sad she had to defer to my so called headship...

Why i liked being a Jehovah's Witness...

1. we got to count time when we share our faith with nonbelievers or our young children.
2. we didn't have to go to college to get a good job as a janitor or a window washer.

i used to enjoy assigning good looking sisters to my car group.
I was out in service in the 70's with 2 car groups we finished one block and met back with the other car...a sister was in the front seat of the car and I approached her to let them what street we would do next...I went to the car window where she was and leaned over and she was wearing a very low plunging neck line and had hugh tat tas...got the A ticket view...I quickly kneeled down as to not look so obvious...

In 1999 I bought my first computer...I was at my Elder cousins house and wanted to use his computer to go on line and check out some computers to buy...Remember he is an Elder...so with him next to me he pulled down his "favorites" and as he scrolled down what do I see but a bookmark for "A-Z Celebrity Nude Photos"...I was very embarassed and did not say anything...I left the room for a couple of minutes and when I came back he let me use the computer myself and he left...I pulled down his favorites and the bookmark was missing...
