some folks have an almost celebrity status while others prefer to stay quietly in the background.
many just are naturally popular where they work.
I try my best to...theres always been this inner drive to be the very best at what I do...I have had some great results too as a result but I tend to be quite unassuming outside of work life. In work i try to shine...outside of work I dont try at all.

i seemed to have a problem with the people there because i am outspoken.

I once used the word pedantic in an answer at the watchtower and got counselled(tm) for using words that nobody else understood....(says it all); I didnt get many brownie points from the smelders for saying that it was about time people read a dictionary either but then again...

good timing actually, because yesterday i was thinking of talking with my fiance, mike about this very thing.
you see, mike really loves kids, and we plan to have them eventually, its a very important part in our relationship (to him, mostly).
There is no bond stronger than those between a parent and a child and quite rightly so but the love shown or felt for them is completely different from that shown or felt for a partner. Yes I agree that those feelings are capable of running into conflict but they are different feelings in my opinion.
Its good you are having this discussion at this stage but I am sure you will have nothing to worry about.

i don't think you can seriously make such a comparison or generalisation. you can't compare an apostate to a peadophile any more than you can say all jw's are the same.
I have to respectfully disagree; JWs on the whole as an organisation treat paedophiles better than they do apostates...the thread highlights this fact so the question is a serious one which needs an answer. It isnt a generalisation per se its a distinct example where the WTS demonstrate their own inability to objectively distinquish between two moral issues.
on the brothers last talk he was talking about how we should be good host.

if i was asked for money by the GB (not that i am ever likely to be asked) i think i would ask them who it was that turned over £20m last year in the UK alone? because it wasnt me thats for sure. Look elsewhere.

after working on it for a year.
now the judicial comittee thesis committee has two weeks to decide if it's good enough.
if not i don't graduate until they say it's good enough.

i used to live with many regrets, thinking that i'd screwed up.
recently, i've been thinking that regretting past actions is not constructive.
sure, we should base our current actions by assessing the results of our former actions, but regretting decisions we've made is, in effect, yearning to change the person we are now or rejecting ourselves.
The secret to happiness is to have no regrets if you can help it....the bad stuff you learn from the good stuff you enjoy while you can.
