  Bullies

  hi ya'll.. i'm looking for advice on how to handle a neighborhood child that is bullying my son and other children in my apartment complex.

  he is very mean, takes my son's stuff, tries to trip him on his bike by putting a stick into his spokes, pulling his underwear up, cussing at him.

  at first i tried to talk to him nicely, asked him to please not do mean things to other children.

  This kid is 6 years old! I think of my little 5 yr old nephew and he is still such a baby! I would NEVER tell him to go beat the crap outta someone. It would take an innocence away before it's time. Mom and Dad's job to protect at this age as far as I am concerned

  I understand where you are coming from and totally agree with you in one respect but the thought of my son or daughter being bullied however is far more sickening than the thought of him or her defending themselves...its the best of two evils Jez and bullies do not listen to reason, even moreso nowadays.

  I was bullied for 5 years...if I had been taught to defend myself at an earlier age needless pain could have been avoided.

  I do understand what you mean though...and dont discount your views in the slightest but needs must sometimes, the secret is giving them the tools to deal with issues intelligently and use violence as a last resort.

  I was bullied as a kid and i was told to turn the other cheek by elders (given that i was a fatherless boy )

  This doesnt work in the slightest; teach your young lad to look after himself and where to hit where it hurts most; he might lose the fight but if he hurts the bully...the bully wont come back for more thats a definate.

  I had an experience at the KH actually as a kid...I was bullied by this prick of an elders son who thought he was the puppies proverbials; he would pick fights, punch, kick and generally name call until i got hold of him in the car park one sunday afternoon and beat the living shite out of him. He had bust nose and bottom lip the size of a plum and he never said a word afterward out of turn.

  Naturally i expected a whoopin afterwards but was pleasantly surprised by my mother response...she said it was about time??!!!!

  Seriously though I hate bullies and the quicker he can look after himself the better.

  can a person be disfellowshipped without knowing?

  can a person be disfellowshipped and not know about it?

  me and my husband have been shunned the moment we stopped attending meetings.

  no one has ever called and only a few have come by over the last 2 years.

  Definately and in the experience of a close friend they dont even have to try and contact you...then again the PO was biased and had personal reasons for making sure the Disfellowshipping went through.

  In the UK this is a christian bible study program which according to a colleague at work is very informative and enlightening; apparently it encourages independent research! how novel would that be?

  I am sure I have read this here before as well as hearing a well known comedian on TV suggest that if he was a multibillionaire paedophile then he too would have a funfair in his back garden....the prosecution rests your honor.

  wow....you know I hate child molesters as much as anyone else...but shooting somebody when you don't know for sure if it is true is pretty stupid.

  I agree completely the whole debate as to how such people should be punished is complex and there are a wide competing factors involved but taking the law into your own hands is dangerous to encourage and condone although the temptation I must say is incredibly strong...

  i just wish to know does the wts have a deliberate policy of splitting married couples if one of the spouses leaves the org even if adultery is not involved?

  do they at least indirectly encourage this to happen?

  and if yes is this a fairly recent policy?

  of course i wouldnt want to encourage speculation, but when i was involved in the jws there was sometimes talk of what would or wouldn't be in/acceptable in 'the new system'.

  i heard some happifying comments like there wont be any electric guitars or transport, and we wont be wearing clothes but we'll still have seasons
