  What I remember from 1975

  since i am sort of late to the party this has probably been beaten to death and if it has just kick this thread to the curb.

  i was 11 years old in 1975 and i remember being scared silly the whole year.

  i mean there was so much hype about it and the tension in the air was so thick it was unreal.

  Wanting to leave JWs & Spouse problems

  are you trying to fade or otherwise distance yourself from the org, but have a spouse that is a loyal jw?

  on various posts i read about some that are staying in the org, or having a difficult time because their spouse doesn't understand the change.

  i'll begin...my wife doesn't understand how i can turn my back on all the good things i've gotten from the org.

  never was a jw but studied for years.

  is it appropriate for a jw female to wear a nose ring or maybe have a visable tatoo that maybe she cant take off do to $$$$$.

  question re DF and DA

  a few days back i read a thread in here about either an upcoming or recent change in the way annoucements will be made regarding someone being disfellowshipped or disasocciated.

  i reread all the post there but would like a little more info if anyone has it.. if i understand correctly, anyone who is to be df'd or who had da'd themselves will have an annoucement read that they are "no longer a jw".

  i understand this when it comes to someone saying "enough is enough, pull my card from your files, i no longer consider myself one of you, i'm outa here".

  Guarding the platform at assemblies and conventions

  can anyone tell me why this practice was stopped.

  i was told the reason for the guards was to prevent apostates from "attacking" anyone up there and disrupting the program.

  has anyonne witnessed an "attack" of apostates gone wild?

  Mmmmm... I like my new bed! 8)

  i've had the same queen size bed for about six years.

  after putting "quite a few miles" very uncomfortable.

  last week, after too many sleepless nights and waking up with back aches i ordered a new king size sealy posturepedic (the kind with a thick comfort pillow layer .

  Do You Think That You Might Turn Back To Jehovah?

  i`ve never yet been snubbed by a jw.

  the reason is that i refuse point blank to speak to them unless they speak to me first.

  so, if i`m visiting my jw mum and jw visitors arrive which they often do i just smile, raise one eyebrow slightly, and look `em straight in the eye!.
