  Does Good Sex Make Lasting Marriages

  question to those of you out there who have managed to stay happily married (since i can't seem to pick the right partner)--.

  how important is intimacy to your relationship?

  i had a boyfriend that i had wonderful fireworks in the bedroom and i was madly in love with him.

  It all depends on the amount of value each partner assigns to their sexual incounters with each other. A lasting marriage is made up of many different parts sex being just one aspect. Many couples stay together even after numerous devasating events in their lives together. Some fall apart over the most trival reasons.If good sex alone makes for a lasting marriage...well IMO that's a marriage between sex organs and not real people who truly love each other.

  my care had an interesting conversion with 2 male jws.. they said that world peace(or should that be armageddon?

  ) will happen any second soon, so they were desperately knocking on people doors to convert them!.

  At the assembly this Saturday the first speaker kept repeating, "The end of this system is very VERY close at hand." It's like screaming FIRE!! in a crowded building. Scream it out enough times and door to doorers will believe it....and actually smell the smoke.

  i just finished talking to my uncle for the first tim in quite a while.

  he's a long time elder and in charge of setting up all of the local circuit assys.

  and partially in charge of da., so he knows a lot of bro's.

  (Welcome to the board tyron) back to the question;

  Can't believe the elders haven't discussed the UN thing among themselves. Haven't heard of a letter from NY, but I'm sure one was sent to "advise" the BOE how to deal with the question if it comes up. Wouldn't doubt some are sweeping it under the rug by denying to know anything about it.

  i see so many so-called religious people being hypocritical to the religion they profess to have faith in.

  they may say "hey, i'm only human", as if this excuses their behaviour.

  i recently had a well meaning friend give the po a letter concerning me.

  it was all about an incident i like to call "the picture heard around the world".

  it got me to thinking about the possibilty of someone sending the elders a letter without signing their name to it.

  I recently had a well meaning friend give the PO a letter concerning me. It was all about an incident I like to call "the picture heard around the world". It got me to thinking about the possibilty of someone sending the elders a letter without signing their name to it. Perhaps with the intention of "getting back" at another or being "concerned" after witnessing something. I know elders love investigations to break their boring routine. Not sure if they need a face to go with a letter before proceeding.

  Has anyone heard or been stung by such letters?

  Italian Nun Murdered; Possible Link to Pope's Remarks

  in somalia, gunmen shot to death an italian nun, who worked in a hospital which serves mothers and children.

  this came only hours after a leading cleric condemned pope benedict for his remarks on islam and violence.

  some think there may be a connection.

  Take the religion aspect out of it and what you get is a 65 year old woman SHOT IN THE BACK 4 times. Real tough guys aren't they.

  they belonged to a non-denominational.

  religion and quite naturally they proclaimed to have the "truth."

  I work with someone who is a big "religionist" , always talking about how necessary it is to be "saved" by Jesus. Which is fine with me. When I asked him what church he went to he replied it was a non-denominational one. He never mentioned a specific name. Isn't that the lastest fad now though?

  my brother and i had good harmony.

  i played lead and i'd sing but i preferred just to play lead.. .

  this was about 1967. i was about 23. i still have the jazz and the fender amp.

  When Delores was real sick I asked Lester and his wife if either of them could come and help care for her for a couple days and they both said no, they had to get their pioneer hours in. I can relate to this. When I pioneered I asked the other pioneers (5 of them) to come with me to visit an inactive sister who had MS. Not one of them would come along because they would have had to stop their time after 15 minutes. I went alone and spent 90 minutes with her and her husband, It was the best 90 minutes of my 2 years of being a pioneer. I asked the others pioneers what they acomplished by not going with me.....they knocked on empty doors. When the temporary CO came to our congregation I brought up the incident. The other pioneers were counseled for not being Christ like in being concerned for the sister with MS. They were really pissed at me, but I loved it.
