News Flash! Letter from Governing Body announcing meeting schedule changes
by mizzarco inthe watchtower meeting (this congregation meets on sat) that i just listened to via phone conference was cut 10 minutes short to have a letter read to all the congregation.
here are the highlights:.
- the governing body realizes that the pressures of this system of things are getting heavier on his people.. - just like the governing body of the 1st century, we do not want to add additional burden to you either.

As usual we "apostates" knew "what was afoot" before the "faithful ones" attending the meetings. Anyone ever hear this: " No you have to be at EVERY one, the meetings are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO important! If you don't attend you'll miss out on all the NEW information. Oh my God you can't miss a single meeting!"

New announcement from the 1st time zone in the world.
by karter injust got back from the assembly the bookstudy will be part of the ministry school service metting as of 2009. the cost of fuel is 1 reason.
to many elders taking bookstudys time could be better spent on other things.
family heads can now spend more time with there familys.

I could be wrong, but this is a change related to the $13 million payout to those molested recently. Book studies in private homes are usually more relaxed with people sticking around to socialize. ( Had a book study in my home for 3 years.) Pedophiles can more easily have an opportunity to seek out victims. "Hey, I need to use your bathroom, ok?" As the walk past kids bedrooms...etc. Lawyers see lawsuits on the horizon…better safe than sorry (not for the victims ,of course, but for the pocketbooks of WTS). If it was because of gasoline prices the idiots would cancel the 3 day conventions. Just my opinion.

Public talk was cut from 45 minutes to 30 minutes so the WT study will also be cut to 30 minutes. In addition because of the dwindling attendence everyone will be seated on the platform except the WT conductor and the reader...they will be seated in the front row.

Could never understand the reasoning that from one side of the face you're told the M-day is ONLY for the annointed and everyone else is an OBSERVER. Show me that in the Bible. There is an ELDERS school ONLY for elders....PIONEER school ONLY for pioneers...why not an M-day ONLY for the annointed? How many observers attended Jesus' last passover?
I realilize there's a soft shoe dance why the NON-ANNOINTED are OBLIGATED (orders of the G-body) to be there..... heard that song for 20 years. Why feel guilty if as a loyal JW Jesus did not invite you?

go ahead, research it in your little watchtower cd's... they will attempt to explain it away in with it's "broader" meaning and not its "literal" application.
the truth is apparent to anyone with open eyes, jesus instructed anyone who wanted to have a relationship with him to participate in communion, (yes you do need to evaluate your heart as 1 corinth 11:27-29 says, but this was not told to prevent you from partaking if you were not "annointed" it was said to make sure you knew the seriousness of your relationship with christ) the verses in john were not told to annointed ones, they were told to a crowd of jews, the "john class", the "other sheep".
