when i was in the states, texas to be accurate, i attended some congs and got to speak to a few people, and i couldn`t believe how many times individuals were d/f, sometimes 3 or 4 times, and they were also married the same times as well, in the so called `truth`.
i did feel that it made a mockery of the `truth` as in england, most people are only d/f once, very rarily twice or more.
i know america is more advanced in many areas, good things and bad, but i was shocked at the ratio out there.
The "person" that committed adultry wth my ex-wife has been DF'd three times. He's treated like a "prince" by all the elders while I'm treated like crap. Threy're all good friends with the ahole.
I'm not one known to kiss a** so maybe getting DF'd a couple of times is the way to go with these guys?

butters in south park definetly seems like the guilible type to have been a jw.

this is my first post, some of you have read my hubby's story - agent smith - anyway i was just wondering if i should write a letter to disassociate myself or just leave things as they are.
i have not been to meetings for about 8yrs but have only just come to realize what a load of rubbish the jw's teach.
now that i have read "crisis of conscience" i have no doubt that jw's are corrupt.

I think your decision to leave things as they are is a wise one. Your pioneer mom is just reacting to what she has had implanted in her mind. Be nicer and kinder to her than ever that will get her to thinking.

i recently obtained the 1995 wt library cd-rom and have been trying to get it to work.
it took a few attempts to get it to install but i keep on getting an abormal program termination when i try to use it.
i figure there are configuration issues since it's so old.

Pretty sure 95WT Lib. is not compatable with XP. If you have enough hard drive you can add windows 98 or Me as a second operating system. Just a thought.

i am from the southeast usa, and i started going to the kh when i was about 14 years old.
i went pretty regularly until i was about 18, then i went to only sunday meetings.
i married my husband of 16 years, who was a baptized jw ( i wasn't).

Your husband is hanging on to things he was taught. Try reasoning with him if he's willing to listen. Your kids are missing out, and that's a sad thing. As for those who turned their backs on you because you were wise enough not to get baptized.....well what kind of real friends would do that? They kicked you to the curb....welcome to the curb we've been waiting for you with open arms.
