New World Order - Illuminati vs. WT Society
by lucky inbefore i start, i just want to say that this is not any sort of conspiracy-type thread and i don't believe russell was a member of the illuminati.. i just finished reading dan brown's angels&demons, before which i hadn't even heard of the illuminati.
it struck me as curious that the "new world order" as described in the book had some similarities with the society's teachings regarding events in revelation (including the name itself).
in particular, i found it interesting that the illuminati were/are seeking to destroy religion and establish a worldwide government.

I recon in a fare fight Illuminati vs. WT Society, the Illuminait would have the WTowerers easy. They?d use cunning stealth and confuse the WTowerers buy spinning and twirling, twirling and spinning in their long multi coloured robes. Mind you some of the larger print publications in a leather effect hard binding can deliver a nasty blow, especialy if you catch someone with a corner, so they?d want to watch out for that.

I?ve read books on the Illuminati and masons skull and bones, and Templars the in the early 90?s when it was all the rage, I?ve seen stone work in cathedrals and pictures and all sorts of symbols here and there that report to exposing acquaintance with this sect or that. The one thing that I?ve learnt about your secret societies though, the one fact that make your basic secret society a secret society worth note, well is secret ain?t it. Stands to reason, you get some bloke writing a book about it, it ain?t that secret no more. What you want to look out for is them secret societies that you don?t know about, thems is the clever buggers.

Blair and the other champaigne socialists
by Simon in.
just one of the reasons i despise the man.
like the rest of the bunch of hypocrites they have abandoned all the ideals that they once claimed to have and are now more than happy to have their nose in the trough.. for all the criticism of thatcher (who transformed the country from the tatters it was left in under labour) they have made things much, much worse in terms of difference between rich and poor.. notice too how labour donators seem to have particularly done well, as has mrs blair - her latest contribution sapping money from local education and giving it to fundamentalist muslims in bogus human rights legalities.. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=398578&in_page_id=2.

I am happy to register my approval of Mr Blair this coming May if called on to do so. Having gone through the secondary education system in the 80?s and comparing my experience with that of my daughter, I cannot believe the shoddy manner in which we allowed the Tories to run down our major services. Thatcher Thatcher milk snatcher I cry. Of course we can?t trust politicians all of the time, nor can they function and tell the hard facts to the great unwashed. At the moment we?re all worrying about an old lady who?s had seven operations on her arm cancelled. I?m more concerned for the 16 year old daughter of a work college who is regularly rushed into hospital for a life threatening illness and has always been found a bed. Since the scrapping of clause 4 the labour movement has been able to occupy the middle ground of British politics, taking over from the week Liberals and pushing the Tories further to the right where they so want to be.

Apostates, Hatred for the Org, leaving JWD
by wanderlustguy inyesterday i watched a thread grow so fast it was insane.
that thread wasn?t about how bad the society was, it wasn?t about sex or drugs, it was what we thought could have been someone committing suicide, saying they had enough?life sucks and then....
then today i read a second posting of someone who has done an exhaustive study on the postings found within jwd (actually only the tame ones that are from people leaning more pro org than against) and determined what a hate filled sack of pus this place is.

I think it has to do with ?hidden programming? we received from the teachings of Jesus. Respect, honesty, and compassion for our fellow man. In the eyes of dubs we are evil through and through for turning our back on the Brookling based publishing organisation, how can we have any good qualities? In fact it is these very qualities that have made us question the org and leave, not the whisperings of demons. JWs can't stand to see that we still have good souls that are not fettered by the org., that the Christian qualities they pay lip service to actually flourish outside the cult. I don't see any hatred here except for cruelty and lies, what I do see here is respect in large amounts.

You know you're NOT a JW anymore when...(add some)
by Flindersgirl inyou don't automatically wake up with a headache on sunday morning.... you no longer go around (while in field service) mentally deciding what home you'll "have" after armaggedon.... every item of clothing you buy as a woman is not first assessed for its modesty value.... you no longer worry about the 144,000 watching you have sex...:).
when on holiday you don't have to find the nearest kingdom hall asap (remember brother and sisters you are not on holiday from jehovah!!!).
being able to laugh about having a numb ass at the assemblies from sitting and the hilarity in having to tell people that you found the meeting "uplifting" when really you were fighting sleep the whole time.... you no longer have to avoid entire sections of music stores in order to make sure you don't pick up and "demonistic" vibes from backmasked cd's.

You read a magazine and don't look for the questions at the bottom of the page.
Someone you've just met makes conversation on how the worlds in a terrible way at the moment and you don't blame it on Satan.
You go birdwatching and don't feel embarrassed about saying great tit, cock or shag.
The WT picture of the whore of Babylon just doesn't ?do it for you? any more.
You beauty you.
