  House (Medical Show) Anyone watch it? I have a question...

  hey.

  recently they have begun screening a new series called house.

  its about a surly dr house who is really smart solves complex cases yada yada yada.. i was watching it last night and they had a preview highlight of next weeks episode.

  My good lady wife has taken to watching the show and though I don't myself like that sort of thing I did catch a bit wandering in and out of the front room, or if you will lounge. The question I have that I hope will be cleared up by one of our American members is Hue Lawrie's accent, to me it sounds forced. I think I remember him using it for a book reading (I think it was a Roald Darl) and keep expecting him to carry on with the narrative in his own voice. So is his accent genuine and where in the US would you place it?

  An End To Shunning

  well, in my case anyway.

  for those of you that may recall my posts about my family and that after i left the wts, how i wrote long (and painful) letters to my nonjw children among others.

  i had tried to explain why i had shunned them and how very sorry i was, and for all the mistakes i had made throughout their childhoods as a jw mother.

  Does God Care If We Get All Dressed Up To Worship Him?

  let's face the facts about getting ready for a meeting to worship.

  it takes up at least 15-20 minutes for a guy to get the 'dub look' on and maybe more for the girls.

  do you think god really cares about how we look on the outside or is he more interested in what's on the inside?

  I'm a natural slob proud of it. I've never had a suit that doesn't look like it's trying to escape and to me a tie is a useless piece of cloth worn by men who have cleavage envy. Hitler was always nicely turned out, who was he showing respect for? If you ask me anyone in a suit isn't to be trusted.

  that how, in this day of easy accsess to valid documented and verifiable information, (these people obviously have internet).

  You'll find that the “active JWs” on this board are faking it for their family due to the shunning that would result if they openly criticised the organisation or for many other possible reasons. There are a few that come here to tell us what Satan worshipping scum we are but they unfortunately don't stay for a chat.

  I wouldn't put absolute faith in the information on the Internet and many JWs will deny facts if they are written on any medium. Add to that the mind control methods of the org it is no wonder that so many ignore what is in front of them.

  Watching Constantine on video...good angry movie...

  I read the Constantine graphic novels when they first came out. Brilliant, I'll wait till it's on pay per view and I've got a bored moment, it's never going to be as good as the comics.
