Why did they change the sterilization beliefs?
by mkr32208 ini posted this on another thread but it suddenly seemed more important and i wanted to get some opinions!
i was still a dub when sterilization changed from a consciences matter to a no-no.
i remarked to my wife at the time that i thought the reason for this was a declining membership!

Breast feeding is beautiful!
I would never inconvenience myself or baby over some idiot prudes.
If they don't like it they don't have to watch. Besides woman are legally protected in this matter.

Nursing Mom's and Meetings
by jeanniebeanz indoes anyone here remember nursing their babies at the meetings and/or assemblies before the laws that protected the ability to do so in public were passed in the us?
was it any easier to do in other parts of the world?.

I think this is just stupid! Breast feeding is original right & natural food for baby, not icky formula.
No woman should have to leave anyplace to brestfeed her baby. What's the big deal about a nipple, it's to feed a baby and if you feel weird explaining that to your kids than you have a serious parental flaw. Can't wait to see how they explain sex!

Entrapment(?): Bethelite Disfellowshipped for Gluttony
by frankiespeakin inwhen i was in bethel around 1975,,i was told by a few brothers while eating at my assigned table, that there was a brother there that would eat a lot(more than his fair share) and so they(gb, or higher ups) plotted to get him df'd.
what they did was have the waiters brings all kinds od food to the table and this brother just ate and ate when we had consumed enought they brought him before a committee and df'd him for gluttony and greediness.
is there any one here on this forum that witnessed this??

That's awful!
What a shame they didn't bring him some willing hot babes to shag! At least then he wouldn't have felt so bad about being disfellowshiped!

How is the GB any different then Satan?
by kwintestal inthe reason satan ran into his problems with the j-man is because he made a god of himself.
hasn't the gb done the same thing by making themselves equal to god?.

Diary of a nobody
by New Worldly Translation inhi, i'm new to these forums so i thought i would share some experiences of when i was a jw.. i was born in 1976 into a staunch jw family.
my grandparents, parents, aunties, uncles, cousins etc etc were all jw's going back to the 1950's.
when i was a child my parents, like a lot of jw parents, didn't let me have worldly friends.

Dying for whats right???
by chuckyy inone of the things that i could not reconcile, which led to my disassociating myself was this:.
i have a daughter that needs open heart surgery.
my heart goes out to those parents who may have one time refused a blood fraction or even an organ transplant for their children because they believed at the time that it was scriptural.

My parents were very good friends with a young brother and sister that went to our cong, the womans brother was an auto mechanic and he was on the way to our house with his sister in tow and they were hit head on by a drunk driver, the sister (cannot remember her name) was criticaly injured and need a blood transfusion, of course she didn't get one, they gave her something else that really wasn't much help and the family was told this, anyway this poor sweet girl died 3 days later, her brother was distraught, he later left the org on account of this. I truely feel awful about all the people and kids who have died on account of a stupid cult.
