My grandmother was told by her doctor after surgery to use the YMCA pool aquactics programs as a form of rehab, she even gets the membership free through her insurance co. So she has been a couple of times. I don't think they know it's a no-no for JW's I will ask her today and see what kinda of a response I get from her. It's really stupid as it's a great gym and I myself am a member and I have yet to see anything religious in your face there, so whats the big deal?

I would have to agree with you on this one Prophecor.
I used to be a size 0 and then with a baby coupled with stress and no working out I gained lots of weight, I am now a size 12 trying to loose weight by taking up running and lifting again, I so would not be caught dead showing off my fat a** and think the world should deal with it. I think it's cool to have trendier clothes for plus size women , but please don't squeeze yourself into an outfit and let your rolls hang out and think you look good.

I just went to my first one this past weekend in Dallas and it was great.
Everyone was very welcoming and interesting, much better in person than just reading lines on a monitor. I would highly recomend attending an apostafest.

i think that they can in certain states,, and it may even be traceable to the wt organization(thru the youth book or watchtowers on disciple).
I don't think this will happen. I do remember a certain mature sister and po's wife giving my mother guidance as to how to deal with an active child at the meetings....this involved hitting.....and I saw lot's of that, no one ever came to my rescue, it was encouraged to keep me in line. I would like to see the government step in and outlaw corporal punishment as a means to keep kids still during meetings.

i always wondered why we were not spending the money to build halls in remote and poor areas that needed them - but instead we would build new halls and sell old ones in places where we were seeing little growth.. every congregation in this area has built a new hall in the past 20 or so years.
yet the congs are the same basic size they were before.
most have had a least one major remodel since building new.
The money they make of the interest of course! duh!
Now about those 40 year shingles...........

I know of this girl that is 14 years old and nobody would ever know it by the way she looks and behaves.She could easily pass for 18 or 19 years old. She uses so much make up, is tall and very developed in the femenine sense, and dresses oh so very slutty.
Yes, she was disfellowshipped recently for throwing herself continuously at a certain young brother until she made him fornicate with her. Good thing that he was disfellowshipped also.
The parents of both parties are much to blame for this situation. Just no supervising or good parenting whatsoever!

First of all NO one MADE this MS FORNICATE with this girl, I don't give a rat's ass how womaly she may look on the outside, she's still just a kid on the inside. Your comments on her personal coif would lead me to believe your either jealous of her looks or you have a very warped sense of sexuality and relationships. Who cares who much makeup she wears! Parent's have a responsibility to teach their kids, but total control is not possible and blaming the parents in this case does not seem to fit.
Under no circumstances is it acceptable to df a child, it's an abohoration and should not happen, kids should not be baptized period.

i have had trouble getting onto mrs ozzie since the operation but this morning i rang the hospital and was put through to mr ozzie himself!.
we spoke for quite a while and he sounded fantastic!!!!!!!.
i passed on the love of the board and told him he has so many people who love him.
Thanks so much for the updates, I'm glad to hear that Ozzie is doing better and seems to be in good spirits.
