the first church I went to after I decided to leave JW and search for God, I looked so scared in that church. The friend that took me with her said "You look like you've seen a ghost." and I replied, "I'm looking for them They're supposed to be here."

The Place For Demons To Rejoice...
by justhuman init was many years ago, it was around 1990, and we had a visit of the c.o.
and a young one asks the co if he can attend to wedding ceremony of a relative that is no witness.. the co said with a kind of superior look to us:" what does a christian doing in a christendom's church(and in our case was the orthodox) were demons are dancing and rejoice during the ceremony.
it is not a place for a christian.

Bibles to read???
by Troggle incan anyone please give me a little advice on a good bible to use?
after looking around my house i realized that i only have one bible and it is the nwt.
i have tried using the kjv but would like a good one in regular english rather than old english and i have been brainwashed into distrusting all of them.

I like the NIV (New International Version) and the NLT (New Living Translation) Also the American Standard is great! Have fun testing them out.

When I finally realized this cult for what it is I would call it "the lie." My mom and friend who have left still call it "the truth" even though they don't believe in it and worship in other ways. I always correct them when it slips out and remind them to call it "the lie." Vent all you wish. I HATE that word in that context too!

You're getting a lot of people tell you that you're not alone and to add to that I'm gonna say the same thing. Soooo many people feel this way. I was on so many Rx when I left and for about two years after. I dug and searched for God and finally found him and now worship in a way that is true for me and my family. You will find that too. You can overcome the guilt, the anxiety, the grief from the loss. It still hurts sometimes when I have family ties still in and they mistreat me but I really have found loved ones on the outside. Please never give up. Never stop believing. Always know that you are not alone. You're not the first and you wont be the last. You will be able to help others that come after you.
Blessings to you.

I'm flattered that so many have read the start of the story and they want to read the rest. I am moving this week to a new place, working, parenting, and going to school. I haven't written in a good while. I will though. And I'll let you all know. Thank you for taking an interest in me. I do want to write a book in the near future.
My love to you all...

Do you know what your last name means and where it comes from . . .?
by Justahuman24 ini have always been interested in what last names mean and where they come from and if someone famous in the past is related to us because of the same last name.
my last name comes from greek but my family is not greek.
it dates back to the year 700ce and it was around the time in europe when people were starting to get last names - i'm talking about the general people not monarchs.

I have cult dreams all the time of my life growing up. Demon dreams are something different though. I've had them and I cast them off in Jesus name now.
