Something funny happened at lunch today.
by Low-Key Lysmith ini was sitting alone in my favorite local mexican restaurant, enjoying my favorite dish of pollo en mole with extra refried beans.. soon, the beans began to do their work and i had a painful belly-full of gas.. the music was especdially loud in the restaurant today, so i decided to lift a cheek and let out a blast to the beat whenever there was a loud cymbal crash or deep base note, etc.
about 10-15 songs later, i looked around to discover that everyone in the place was staring at me..... ......and then i realized that my ipod was on and i had my earbuds in.......

Isn't It Time For Darwinists To Face The Music Of Science?

Perry, testimonies are not science. I knew you were not going to prove with science that a creator interacts with us. Because there is none.
Anyways, while I wait for your proof. I'll face the music of science with this videos. Enjoy!

On Human Evolution
by TD init's a subject that comes up fairly often here (understandably) and very strong opinions are expressed.
much of the discussion seems to be counterproductive.. i'd like to propose a different approach.
we all know what each other's conclusions are (or at least we should by now).

This is easy. None of those skulls are apes. Ape species are still alive today along with humans.

Perry, let's say I have woken up to the music of science. I believe in a creator now. Now since you used science to change my mind maybe you can do the same for my next dilemma. With the proof of science please show me that this creator interacts with its creation. Or better yet that he cares or even its aware of our existance. Thanks.

The River
by sabastious ininformation today runs through the neighborhoods of the world like a raging river and even the watchtower has no power to stop it from reaching their members.
that river is what swept me away.. a river is a two way analogy for my experience.
the apostate in me would say that, although highly painful and far too long, i am happy where the river washed me up and, now that my wounds have healed enough, i am starting to rebuild my life, for the better.

Well, it's like OnMyWayOut said, it's a venting mechanism. That's what I was doing with my original post. Sometimes when I'm working and realize that I've done a simple mistake I hit myself in the forehead and call myself an idiot.
I've moved on. I got a good life, and I have no complains. But being raised a JW is always going to be a part of my life. Specially when something or someone reminds me of my past life. At first I started posting with an attitude, you could say being an asshole. But after just a few days of reading some posts I came to remember how I was in the past.
Coming back to the boards has been a humbling experience.

I forgot my parents' anniversary
by mrsjones5 inhubby turned to me a couple of days ago and said "it's your parents' anniversary" and i said "who?
" hubby replied "exactly" and laughed.
i wasn't being facetious, i just didn't hear what he said but totally understand why hubby would say "exactly".

This is one of those stories where you say, "You got to be kidding me right?".
