  i've been following up with this mission since it started.

  the only thing i can not find an answer to is how they decide what portion of the sky it's pointed at.

  my guess would be better visibility or any logical factors.

  Do they still have that sky blue book on Creation vs Evolution?

  i just thought of that from reading another tread.

  i remember we were studying that book the same time they were teaching the theory of evolution in my biology class.

  i need to get that book just to bring back memories.

  My mom opened up for the first time.

  i could write paragraph after paragraph to explain the situation, my leaving, my influence on my mom and siblings, etc.. but i will keep it short.. my mom is inactive and she has always liked having conversations with me about almost any topic.

  for a long time though she would not touch the subject of the watchtower organization when i brought it up, i could tell she still believed that talking bad about the organization was a sin.. but last weekend we were having our usual conversation that we have now and then.

  the topic of religion and god was brought up.

  a while since i came to these boards that helped me so much when i left the borg.. i remembered these boards today because a funny thing has been happening to me the past few weeks.

  a friend of mine that i guess still goes to the meetings added me on facebook.

  The Watchtower and Year 2012

  i'm curios of what the watchtower society thinks about the year 2012. i think they russell should've used the mayan calendar, and not the pyramids.

  at least he would have something in common with the rest of the prophets.

  My Experience.....

  i was raised a jw since childhood up to the age of 16. at that age i decided that i didn't want to go to to the meetings.

  that decision was taken in lew of reading a lot about different philosophies.

  i didn't consider one philosophy to be right, but everyone of them had something that inspired me to be a better person.

  raised a jw, after i left i was complexed for the next year, didn't know what life had for me.

  i was uncertain, and scared.
