i used to hate it when i'd listen to brother blow give his long winded comment about how we're all supposed to do this or that----and he was barely considered a witness......we had a few elders, and especially the po who would go overtime just because they could.

the po's bookstudy always went overtime.

45 minutes into the meeting he was still on paragraph 3. and he would read every scripture including the ones quoted!!!

kickboxing anyone?

hello, i was wondering if anyone had experience with kickboxing?

i am a painter so my job is very physical, but i would like to tone my body.

i was trying to research kickboxing and all i got was advertisements instaed of health benefits.

Ohhhh this is one of my favorite forms of exercise!!
I take classes 3 days a week at the local YMCA. It's very up beat and we change routines frequently so it doesn't get boring. I would defiantly recommend it.

It does take a bit to get used to all the moves, but it is a great work out and uses your whole body. I especially love it for a stress reliever.... having a bad day? Go to the gym and kick or punch your frustrations out!!

Red eyes

just the other day i had a horrible witness flashback.

i remembered that when my dad was an elder...he would come home from his elder meetings with red eyes.

he also would get red eyes whenever he was mad at the family about something 'spiritual' like how we didn't have the pioneer spirit or how we were wearing to short of dresses (even if they came down to the floor).

hello all...haven't been here in a while...but just needed to drop in and let you all know that i won't be able to host the 2nd annual apostabeercheesefest this year.

i know...bummer.

it was so much fun at my house without the electricity or flush toilets wasn't it?

Okay.... so let's DO IT!!! It'll take some time to get everything finalized, so let's start planning now.

I was thinking having it at a shelter at "North Wood County Park", just outside of Marshfield would work out good. If anyone wanted they could even camp there over night.

HELLO ALL FELLOW APOSTABEERCHEESEFEST FRIENDS!!!! ( and anyone else wanting to travel to good ol' Wisconsin for a great time)

I'm sure I wouldn't be able to come close to the fantastic fest Had Enuf and her family threw last summer, but I know Mr Schne and I would be happy to get something together. We have many fellow apostates in the area....and it would be horrible to not do SOMETHING!!!

SOOO Let me get this in the works...Who would be able to come? Also, what month works best for everyone? We have some nice parks in the area that we could all gather at.

One request on my part would be to have Tree of Woe play for us again!!! ( what do ya think??) That was the highlight of last years fest!

so when you were df'd, how many halls were you announced in?.

reliable rumor has it that the three in my family who have either da'd or been df'd in the past month were announced in two seperate halls 20 miles apart.. i don't think this is standard procedure?

any thoughts?

This must be case specific.

I am aware of people who were DF'd and only announced in one KH - even though they have attended others...

if you could rent a bill board where you knew jehovah's witnesses would see it, what would you put on it to try to effectively reach them?

and don't forget that lots of other people would see it to.

maybe the regular joe would be able to develope some good questions from your ad too.

This is not so far-fetched.

There is a billboard in front of the local KH. I will check into rental costs, etc....
