we all get older every day, that's not my question, but at what age did you notice that you weren't able to do as much as when you were younger, or at what age did you start to see a different person in the mirror..and it didn't please you.

being invited to a birthday party
by pitbull ini have been invited to a birthday party by a close friend.
should i go?is it not o.k to go?why should'nt i go?.where is it written in the jw religion that i should not attend my close friends party.
is this not a moral delema as oposed to a religous belief.

Nowhere in the Bible ( which is what you should be using...not any Watchtower or other publication) does it state birthdays are not to be celebrated! Ask anyone and they won't be able to find a scripture that states this...sure they can twist and imply things...but nothing clear and direct!

Not yet... People tell me I look like I'm 16 somedays ( depending upon what I'm wearing, my makeup and hair style) I'm really 23!
I hope I keep tricking people for a long time! It's funny, when I WAS 16, I wanted to look like I was older, and now that I'm older, I want to look younger! HA!
I guess in some ways it's nice to look younger, but at work I've noticed I get less respect because of it. People don't think I know what I'm talking about....

It's so great to sleep in on Saturdays and Sundays, go to the gym Thursday nights, watch the "Real World" on Tuesdays...I didn't have a hard time filling that space!

Anger!!!!
by FlyingHighNow inyesterday, when i was driving through holland, michigan, i was a little lost looking for the human resources office.
i was heading down a busy divided four lane street unfamiliar, when i looked up and there it was, a kingdom hall in all it's radiant three day quick-build glory.
and for the first time, rather than just the usual cringe, i felt angry!.

I mostly have an eerie feeling and a deep sense of sadness.
For 22 years, all that the Kingdom Hall represents, was my life. That was where my "friends" were..... That is where my parents still are. A place that I will never return to.....

The sick thing is, people from our old hall would ask him why he was leaving God, by going back to school!!!
WOW, THROW HIM A HUGE PARTY AND GIVE HIM TONS OF PRAISE

lol.....i would always ask extremely difficult questions about the "troof" to my parents during our "watchtower family indoctrination hour"........ my parents often got so pissed off i would sent to my room without supper!
my favourite memories of our family watchtower studies involved.

When we HAD "bible" studies ( wasn't a very regular thing with my family) ( not BIBLE studies, instead WATCHTOWER studies) I behaved okay. I just kept counting the minutes until we were done. We would have to sit at the kitchen table in the hard uncomfortable chairs, so I'd have to pay attention and no drinking or snacking on anything....( suggestions from the Watchtower, of course) I figured it out, if I would cooperate, we'd get done sooner!
If I was lucky, my dad would just study with me and we'd summarize all the paragraphs( he didn't like to study either) HA! We'd be done in 30 minutes flat~!

MY HUSBAND!!! I'm so proud of him!!!!!!!!
He went back to school and is graduating this coming Saturday with a Bachelors degree in Business!
