Long silence broken

i have held off posting here for a long time, i have read this board from nearly its begining, and have been tempted to post before, but haven't.

i am a life long witness, and so is my spouse.

several years ago i began reading various internet sites about the history of the orginazation and came to the horrifing conclusion that some things are just not right.

Happy to have you here, I know it can be scary to post you thoughts and feelings, but it is also very helpful to know others who are in the same position as you in the organization that know things are not right but dare we NEVER speak of it to other witnesses for fear of being labeled a independent thinker. So we sit in the K-Hall in silence questioning the organization...............

Read all you can, and don't think your situation is hopless, Find Ithink's post, he felt like you about his wife and very gingerly worked things out so that she is now a posting member of the forum..

Rollercoaster Ride

just want to say after finding this site and others just a few days ago i feel like my world is upside down.

Hi Poppy, I want you to know it is like opening Pandora's Box when you begin to read and research the WTS...............see like you I was raised in the cult, I hated every moment of it but was forced.........then I thought can't escape so make the best of it, met my hubby married and children, family fully into the organizations...........so there you have it............but then we began questioning the "hide the molester" policy.........that did not set well with us, then started researching the beginnings of this organization.........not starting with Able as the witnesses always say....but with Charles T. Russell. You know if he was a witness today, HE WOULD BE DISFELLOWSHIPPED. Isn't that interesting, the Founder of our Faith today would be put out for his independent wrong thinking. So there you have it Poppy, just start reading and you will be amazed at what you learn that THEY don't want you to know.................WHO SAYS THE WITNESS HAVE A MONOPOLY ON GOD? of yeah THE FDS SAYS THEY DO...................remember they are just old men in the ivory tower who are obsessed with the power that comes from being the GOVERNING BODY...................

Radio Program on the JWs in St. Louis October 29th

i taped an interview on a christian radio station about the jehovah's witnesses.

it will air on kfuo 850 am in st. louis, mo on saturday october 29th at 11:05 am.. it will also air in chicago, illinois on wyll on november 6th from 9:00 pm-10:00 pm.. we talk about the quotes website, false prophecies, etc.. if you want you can listen on-line tomorrow at 11:05 am central time at www.kfuo.org.

Thanks for letting us know. I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed your open forum about JW on Oct 16th, you did excellent. We don't realize how much we have been kept from until you listen to people like you and the other gentleman, it also seemed like the priest was well informed concerning the witnesses.....You are doing a kind work Jeff, by helping others to see what a danger group the witnesses can be. Why do they feel they have the "monopoly of God?"

i had to stop reading for a bit.

you're at the gas station and jack comes to meet you.. omg i am living this with you.

it has triggered so many memories of my own "abduction" by my father (3 years) and the reunion and later more abandonment (another 3 years) and rejection.

I'm half way through it too, boy, I have gone through alot of emotions as I read it...............I don't like Jo, then I don't like dad, then I think Bryan went off the deep end, but who could blame him...........Bryan writes as though he is speaking right at you....................that is enough of the review, but I have a question for Bryan: WHENS THE MOVIE COMING?

he wrote the best known ex-jw book.

the title is even known among faithful dubs.. it's hard to imagine that he's not interested in the topic.

He is just a humble man, who dosn't want any undue attention.............he has helped many to get a inside peek at what goes on in the "MOST HOLY" at Bethel.

We are grateful for his information and we know God will bless him in the end for exposing the group that has hurt us the most.................so for that WE THANK YOU RAY FRANZ!

james here; exjw for about 25 years.

was "in" from 1963 to 1980 due to parental "guidance" beyond my own good sense.. have been to elder school, bethel, wthq, etc..., knew many of franz heretics in the mid-late 70 trouble from oklahoma city.. have many silly stories to offer...but for now just will say this - .

if your "god" was really going to come down here and kill everybody on earth except for the wt people who the society liked, would you not stand up to fly the first fighter jet against such a horrible alien?.

I would say to the householder at the door, "you have a beautiful home, suppose you rented your home out to people who would not take care of it, in fact cause much damage to it, what would you do, destroy the home? or evict the tenants? Of course they would say evict the tenants.....................then I would hand a lovely WT like this one on Armageddon and say" well thats what God wants to do...............................evict (KILL) the tenants"..............then I would offer a Bible Study, to help save them from being evicted (KILLED)..............how kind.

We always eat dinner together, it is the best part of the day for our family. My husband and myself were raised with family dinners every night at 5pm sharp, filled with laughing and telling stories of the days events, then came the dishes (NO DISHWASHER FOR US), but it really set a way with us both, our family loves to sit down at 5pm..(kept that time) and enjoy being together...........Oh yeah there was always the BIG SUNDAY DINNER AFTER CHURCH...............until the witnesses came along and ruined that.............then it was no breakfast, meetings, then service with a quick drive thru to McDs...............thats how our sunday was after 1975

just wondering if this happened to any of you.

did you ever go to the service group and be assigned to the different car groups.....and then....the sister that is assigned to go with you...decline and say...'i am just going by myself today and do my return vistits by myself'..... damn, i should have complained about that one!

it was very rude!

No that didn't happen, but I had a sister cross the street and walk away from me after we were suppose to work together..........I took the hint................got in my car a left her there.........
