I noticed on the last page they have important Phone numbers: see who is first on the list:

POLICE
AMBULANCE
HOSPITAL
Now why would they put that first, if your child is molested, they really don't want you to call the police but call your local elders so they can sweep it under the carpet.........
i recently finished a book written by bryan "have you seen my mother?
" it is a sad, but powerful story of a child of 2 years old being kidnapped by his father who is an elder in the watchtower.
the deceptions and lies he tells bryan for thrity years.
I also read this great story, and was pleased that Bryan finally in the end found his mom. A child should never be denied their mothers love........shame on that father. The ironic thing is that the WT took his mother away from him and now the WT has taken his daughter away from him, in the sense she won't have anything to do with him because of his stand.............it is so sad to think a religion that claims to follow Jesus is so heartless in love of family.............thank you Bryan for your story.

i was talking to him about it last night and he was like, ''how the hell could you even know unless the told you?
1. tuesday evening i went to get something out of my car and i notice the mother and daughter walking out of the house.
Go over in the middle of the night, and put a Flag sticker on the back of their bumper, if it is gone the next day, then you know for sure..............make sure you do it on Saturday night, so on Sunday everybody will comment at the K-Hall and they will freak and pull it off immediatly..............put some extra sticky glue on it so it will be hard to get off, in fact put 5 or 10 flags on the bumper.............can you imagine the talk at the K-Hall. That will be a sure sign, do it and tell us how it works out for ya.

my name is aaron, and i have a brief story to tell regarding my youth as a jehovah's witnesses.
my story is all too familiar for many who had the misfortune to find themselves unwilling participants in the religious activities of this group, but i would like to share my experience.

after many months of letting the junk pile up, me and my husband set out to tackle cleaning up the garage today so that i could start parking my car in there again as the cold weather is coming.. as we were working he said to me "okay these jehovah's witnesses books have to go".
when we first moved in three years ago, i had taken all of my jw books and put them into a storage container out in the garage.
at that point i felt like i was betraying jehovah if i threw out the books.. well three years later and i said "okay, but first we must rip out my name out of them all".
In our personal library we had all JW books nothing else. Then once the CD Rom came out we started packing and storing most of the old books, then 1 year ago we did a major cleaning of our basement, then the question came up: WHAT TO DO WITH THOSE OLD BOOKS? (I to felt it was disloyal to God if I threw them out) but the time had come............out with the trash they went, I pulled the 75 bound volumes out along with 95s. I kept the reasoning books and a few old, very old books that I had as a kid. But later after reading on here some would like to have them I felt bad........said "I knew I shouldn't of tossed them"...........oh well, they are FREE, so I can just order more right? Anyway it is nice to see our bookshelves filled with real enjoyable reading, books that help us in lives problems, I never new how nice a bookcase can look with real interesting books.....I love it.

i have held off posting here for a long time, i have read this board from nearly its begining, and have been tempted to post before, but haven't.
i am a life long witness, and so is my spouse.
several years ago i began reading various internet sites about the history of the orginazation and came to the horrifing conclusion that some things are just not right.
Happy to have you here, I know it can be scary to post you thoughts and feelings, but it is also very helpful to know others who are in the same position as you in the organization that know things are not right but dare we NEVER speak of it to other witnesses for fear of being labeled a independent thinker. So we sit in the K-Hall in silence questioning the organization...............
Read all you can, and don't think your situation is hopless, Find Ithink's post, he felt like you about his wife and very gingerly worked things out so that she is now a posting member of the forum..
