  i recently finished a book written by bryan "have you seen my mother?

  " it is a sad, but powerful story of a child of 2 years old being kidnapped by his father who is an elder in the watchtower.

  the deceptions and lies he tells bryan for thrity years.

  my name is aaron, and i have a brief story to tell regarding my youth as a jehovah's witnesses.

  my story is all too familiar for many who had the misfortune to find themselves unwilling participants in the religious activities of this group, but i would like to share my experience.

  A Cleansing

  after many months of letting the junk pile up, me and my husband set out to tackle cleaning up the garage today so that i could start parking my car in there again as the cold weather is coming.. as we were working he said to me "okay these jehovah's witnesses books have to go".

  when we first moved in three years ago, i had taken all of my jw books and put them into a storage container out in the garage.

  at that point i felt like i was betraying jehovah if i threw out the books.. well three years later and i said "okay, but first we must rip out my name out of them all".

  Long silence broken

  i have held off posting here for a long time, i have read this board from nearly its begining, and have been tempted to post before, but haven't.

  i am a life long witness, and so is my spouse.

  several years ago i began reading various internet sites about the history of the orginazation and came to the horrifing conclusion that some things are just not right.
