  I really rather be cremated......with no fuss at all.........I wish there would not even be a funeral. They are so stressful.

  Looking for jw numbers

  does anyone have any hard numbers on how many people have left the wts over the years?

  they claim they are so succesful and that their members are so great but im just wondering how many are dfd, da'd, or just inactive.

  what are the ratios of doors they knock on and how many convert?

  Blog in honour of my Stepmom

  myrna, my beloved stepmom, was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year.

  in typical fashion, she let us all know what was happening in her life, informed herself of the options, and calmly determined her course of treatment.

  it was a very small lump, and it looks like all of it was removed.

  a jury in milwaukee awarded 17 million bucks to an 82 year old barber who got hit by a car.

  driven by a church volunteer.

  the archdiocese was held liable for the volunteers' actions.. (see wall street journal editorial page, march 17, 2005).. now, i'd like to see the watchtower crash and burn as much as anyone .... but i sincerely.

  Jehovah's Witnesses contended that Jordan Johnson acted on his own and was not their agent at the time he caused the fatal car wreck.

  But plaintiff's counsel, Joel Faxon of Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, claimed on his client's behalf that Jordan Johnson was serving as a Bethelite and agent of the organization at the time and advancing their purpose, therefore Jehovah's Witnesses was responsible for his actions.

  Internal documents were obtained through the discovery process and testimony was given through depositions, which clarified and substantiated Faxon's view.

  I understand wanting to defend yourself......but this is an organization that is supposed to be concerned about the truth. An example for all to follow. They never seem to come clean. I am not surprised........nothing I read anymore about the org surprises me anymore. I am getting used to it now.

  if a dub asked you to give him some instances where the faithful and discreet slave ie their leadership has committed shameless and blatant acts of deception and manipulation on them, what would you choose to open his eyes to the realities of this issue?

  Look at this thread......about halfway through it Elsewhere posted a magazine......notice the circled part in red that says 20th century.......That was in the original mag...

  When the bound volumes came out and on the cd rom.......notice how the wording has been changed.......

  I would say this blatant act of deception and manipulation. What do you think .........will it help?

  My car just got stolen !

  woke up this morning to check on my car... and it was gone.

  someone has taken my geo tracker convertable 4x4.. damn now what?

  i filed a police report and have to call my agent tomorrow.. .

  I had a car stolen when I lived in Texas. My roommate came in at noon and said...... I did not think you were here I did not see your car. I said......Oh, it is there .....you just can't see it probably from cars blocking the view .......I lived in an apartment.

  Well, a little while later I went to get something out of my car, and sure enough it was gone. I was shocked. Two weeks later the San Antonio police called and said my car was on fire, but they found it! It was wrecked and abandoned and they set it on fire.........All my family pictures, baby books, only copy of my parents wedding pics.......awards and scrap books were all in the trunk.......all burnt up.

  Hope they find your car and sorry for the violation of your space.

  every day for atleast half the day i will get no new topics and then all the sudden they will show up like a whole page worth.

  my computer illiterate ass is frustrated and going through withdrawals!

  Last week I was having problems with formatting.......got real big and only part of the forum was on the screen..........I did a defrag and it is all fixed now........So maybe doing a defrag will help you too?

  Valid alternatives to the door to door preaching work?

  ok - so i had a talk/debate with a guy today who insists that he sees "nobody else talking about the end of the world" and that "the door to door work the jws perform is the best way to preach.

  this guy has a brother who is disfellowshipped.

  he has never been baptized, yet has an ongoing interest and believes the jws are a special people.

  "nobody else talking about the end of the world"

  In the area I live, heavy bible belt in USA, the baptist talk very much about the end of the world.

  I know I work with mostly baptist and everytime something BIG happens on TV, comments are made about the world coming to an end and better be ready!

  And I have had many religions come to my door, even recently, inviting me to revivals and bible school, and even one church, came to discuss the bible........unfortunately I did not do to well at thier "attacks" and had a real fellow feeling for the householders we seem to attack.
