how sad and selfish is that?

Non-JW wanting to Date a JW....some advice?
by Radium inok here is my situation, i met this girl that is a jw....she is not that heavily into her religion but we talked for a long time face to face and she is very hesitant on attempting to start a relationship.
so i have been researching for the past couple of days to undersatnd her religion and see if there is anything that i could use to dissuade her from saying no.
so last night we talked about the ifs, and buts, and such stuff like that.

Which did you prefer? Watchtower or Awake?
by LDH inwhen i was a jw, i really couldn't stomach the watchtowers.
the only articles i would read would be for the family study/watchtower study.
it seemed so archaic and old-people-ish.. i did read the awake from cover to cover almost every time.

why do the jw ?
by heathen inwhy do the jw lock their publications in cabinets ?i noticed on my visits to the local cong.
that they are so anal about their publications in the congregations that they have locks on their cabinets where they keep the magazines and bibles .
i can't help but wonder if they are worried about the publishers helping themselves .well ,i'm open to any explainations.

by Quotes inas you may already know, i own the internet domain "watchtower.ca" (note, ".ca" stands for canada).
if you go to www.watchtower.ca (thinking it might be the bethel canada site, which it would be if non-idiots were working at bethel canada) you are redirected to http://quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com (heh heh heh).. but it gets better: any email sent to <anybody>@watchtower.ca gets sent to me ([email protected]).. i just thought i would solicit your comments on the email i received via this method.
it appearst that brian andersen was forwarding some information from his private home email address to his work email address.

"putnam county - the town of patterson, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed watchtower amended site plan may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a draft eis must be prepared.
a public scoping session will be held on may 30, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the patterson town hall, po box 470, 1142 route 311, patterson, ny 12563. written comments will be accepted until june 13, 2002. the action involves expansion of the existing watchtower educational center with the construction of two new residence buildings, an office building, additions to the audio/video building and a new maintenance building which total 172, 500 square feet.
