  Why did the WTS ever bother to release the KIT?

  in noting another post regarding a pdf version of the kingdom interlinear translation, i traversed the internet sites of several critics of this translation.

  lots of interesting reading, true.

  i wonder why the wts left the door to accusation so wide open?

  Jeff, I've wondered about this also. I wonder if someone up there (Bethel) maybe decided long ago that they would release the real truth in a few obscure places in the literature, so that if someone ever said "Why did you deceive me?" They could respond that the real truth had been in the publications, they just didn't read them. Most of the literature that the Society has ever published has gone un-read and is sitting on shelfs collecting dust,or in the landfills. I bet that a least half of the people who are Baptized witnesses have never read one of the Societys books from cover to cover. seek2find

  What song best epitomizes what keeps you going

  i know a lot of song threads have been posted but i am interested in what and why a particular song moves you to keep going when you have lost so much.. if possible find the lyrics to the song and post them along with your what song and why it was so important.

  as a kid i had an old 78 record player that i had to wind up to play (i did say old.

  ) there was one old record that had a song by ed ames 'the impossible dream" i was in foster care and had no contact with my family.

  Revelation Book Vs Finished Mystery

  with the upcomming study of the revelation book aproaching, i was wondering if anyone here knows of a place where i can get a side by side comparision of the revelation climax book with the seventh volume of studies in the scriptures to see the differences.

  both are verse by verse discussions and a comparision would be helpfull to see the changes that have taken place over the last 90 or so years.

  it might be helpfull to point others (family)away from the orginazation and to the real source of truth.

  How, about the "Freedom in Christ" convention, ending on Sunday with a resolution that never again would anyone among us attempt to come between the individual and Our Lord and Saviour. This would mean no more Judicial Commitees no more shunning, no more Man made rules no more Organazation Book and no more covering up our past. The last in a list of resolutions could be. "We the attendees of the "Freedom In Christ" convention resolve to move forward and to follow Christ alone, and never again be deceived by man or the teachings of men" OK I guess I better quit dreaming and get back to reality. seek2find

  i showed only kindness, though disgust with the organizations' moral bankruptcy and doctrinal miscues.

  Jeff, One thing is right. A deadly mistake has been made, only not by you. In fact it's been made well over 6 Million times and that mistake is believing that Salvation can come through association with an orginazation. The JW's need to spend more time in the WORD and less time in their own publications that are constantly changing. It's only by reading the Bible that one can get to the real truth. Maybe, something will happen to him that will wake him up to that fact. seek2find

  Eph 2:8-10 (NIV) "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." I never heard this one quoted from the platform at the hall. The NWT words it all wrong in my oppinion seek2find

  A Video Shunning Xperience....

  my g-daughter and i were in the video store this morning.

  [she was out of school with a cough and fever - they won't let her back for 24 hours].. as we prepared to check out in comes sister rita righteous.

  actually i jest here - rita has been df'd three times as a fornicatrix, married out of the 'truth' to a drug dealer, has raised three children who never accepted the religion, and has never, in my 35 years of her acquaintance been 'spiritually minded' or 'active in the service'.. anyway - i am freshly announced as 'no longer one of jehovah's witnesses', and apparently she has heard.

  Hey Jeff, I wonder why the NM37 tract that's receiving such wide distrubution right now doesn't mention the way she treated you? It talks about all the love (that doesn't exist)but doesn't dare mention the shunning. The householder isn't suppose to find out about that until they have dedicated their life to the ORG. Kinda like bait and switch huh? I don't see any difference between JWs today and the Pharasiees of Jesus Day . Same song different verse. seek2find
