I had sent Dale a copy of my DA letter, and a personal one. I showed only kindness, though disgust with the organizations' moral bankruptcy and doctrinal miscues. Yet the robotic mind sees all things in a twisted light of God/Organization. Allow me to share the concluding comments, which to me were intensely reavealing of the depth of mind control this organization has on it's followers [and did on me at one time]. I might note that this brother and I were close as possible [though separated in age by nearly 20 years], and he has known me since I was just 5 years old, so for 46 years.

    The final couple of paragraphs in his reply to me;

You have made a deadly mistake, at a very unfortunate place in the stream of time.

I see love from the Faithful slave and it's governing body, while the tone of your letter and the action you have said you will take are full of hatred. That, my friend, is the spirit of the world, not that of my Faithful Friend and God, Jehovah.

I will miss you. It is a crushing loss!

    Love - Dale

PS- Killing people at Armageddon? Matt 24:37-41 Is the way of Jehovah not adjusted right?

His comments reveal to me the total depth of delusion these people are under. Though I was a friend of his for 45 years, he chose to use his words to defend the organization, basically calling it God, and made very few comments of an endearing sort, with an effort to 'snatch me from the fire' of my destructive choices. When citing scripture [as above] he makes no effort to understand what it says, only to imply that the organization's defining of it is absolute. And as far as his seeing 'love from the Faithful slave and it's governing body', that speaks volumes doesn't it? Blind lead the blind - both will fall into a pit.

JWs deal with the concept of people dying at Armageddon by seeing them as faceless.

Do they see their beloved non-JW grandma dying forever or are they hoping she dies before the "end"?

Do they see the cute-as-a-button baby recently born to their non-JW cousins dying forever?

What about the little boy next door that waves hello? Will he die forever because his parents are not JWs?

What about the baby of the DF'd couple? Are they relishing that child's eternal destruction?

Wouldn't it be instructive to make a picture book of these people and send it to the JW who knows them and ask how happy they are to see them die forever soon?

"...You have made a deadly mistake, at a very unfortunate place in the stream of time...."

In other words, you are going to die, die, die very shortly at the hand of Jehovah Himself, for not believing the insane ramblings of 12 senile men in New York who have yet to get one single prophecy right. Ya, that makes perfect sense to me.

"....I see love from the Faithful slave and it's governing body..."

Yes......the love that forces families to abandon and shun family members who dare to question them, the love that has screwed millions out of a good education, pension, marriage, children or any sense of self worth, the love that has driven many to suicide, the love that always tells you you're never doing enough, the love that forces you to watch your child die rather than take a blood transfusion and the love that saw thousands of brothers and sisters in Malawai be raped, tortured and murdered because of one vote on the governing body.

Yes Jeff, it's a shame that they're so blinded that they cannot see the forest for the trees. You should keep that message from him and remind him of it in 20 years time.

Hmmm. Don't really know how the above happened... Sorry.

"His comments reveal to me the total depth of delusion these people are under..."

"...he chose to use his words to defend the organization, basically calling it God..."

And that IS a remarkable delusion, isn't it? A perfectly intelligent human being, so indoctrinated he cannot separate his concept of "Jehovah" from the organization that has stolen his mind. I feel certain this is how my mother and family will act when they finally receive my ever-evolving letter.

The WTS provides a thick stream of warm gravy that flows over ones head. When one is presented with rational evidence that the organization isn't what it claims to be, one momentarily pokes his head out of that seepage. It feels cold and uncomfortable, so ones heart draws him back and ones mind speeds to contrive the logic for doing so. He returns to the artificial-but-warm oozing of reconstituted gravy.

His reply comes as no surprise to me. It's unfortunate, but they don't respect people making their own choice. The organization's way or no way.

I also had many long time friends who if they didn't agree with you over some mundane thing or think you not "spiritual" enough would get stand offish. That was when I was still "in" and pioneering and attending all of the mtgs. When I left only 2 people came and it was w/like message Jeff.

Oh my god......while I laughed at this comparision, I don't think I've ever heard it explained so well.
