Who on the forum would you like to meet face to face?
by avidbiblereader inif you had your chance who would you want to meet face to face, talk to them, spend some time picking their brain, have a dinner with, get to know better?.

i don't want it to happen but i bet it does.
if it does i hope it gets a lot of publicity before it actualy goes down.the site is extremely well put together and has some info that i never seen before like some of the info on the cross.

For what it's worth or isn't and to whom it may concern, I have no connections with the people behind the six screens site. I guess the reason it appeals to me is because I get the feeling that they are striving to maintain a Christian prespective away from the orginazation which is what I want to do also. Some people leave and become swept away by the free no God lifestyle, and if that's the way they want it, I can't change it. But, for me leaving a beleif system that one finds to be in error doesn't mean I have to leave God at the same time. So to sum it up. The only connection between me and the owners of six screens is that we both still want God in our lives. If some other anti-witness site does more for you, go for it, I can't stop you, nor would I try to. We all are endowed with freedom, how we choose to use it is a personal matter. Wasn't part of the quotes suit that they said it caused embarasment to the Society? If that were the case, I think six screens should cause far greater "Embarasment". To lurkers here and others, I recomend looking around the site to see all of whats there. If the sound bothers you just turn down the volume. I really liked the explanation of John 1:1 in the video at the following link.

Ak Jeff: I felt the same way when I first went to the site, but after some exploring around I found what I felt was some really good info. The link below is the one I was reffering to about the Cross and torture stake. I never had seen that photo taken from one of the publications that showed Christians hanging on Crosses in the Roman events. So far I have enjoyed the site. I have't had time to examine the whole thing yet. I just watched the video on screen 1 by Robert Porter about John 1:1. I think he did a good job explaining it. "Funerals" The new Witless Gatherings
by pratt1 inover the last 12 months i have been invited to 3 funerals for dubs that was held more that a week after the person died so that more people could attend.. each of the funerals were held on a saturday and there was a community center or hall rented out where food and drinks were served.
all 3 had over 300 people attending and each lasted several hours.. i think the dubs are so straved for get togethers, that they use a funeral as a means to get together.. .
has anyone else noticed this trend in your area?.

Some of the only get-togethers we've had in recent years have been at deaths. Other than that no get togethers. Ever since the Society came out against "large gatherings", there hasn't been any gatherings at all unless you are a Pioneer are some special Clique group. The rest can just sufer. But by all means we are to "avoid all worldy association". seek2find

the Daily-Dedicate-a-Song-to-a-Special-Someone Thread
by Crumpet inrather than hijack another thread and inspired by fullofdoubtnow and dedpoets music for the wedding thread i thought i would start a little "dedications" thread - this isn't the sort of dedication symbolised by dunking though!.
(i expect to see ggbg and ofg here forthwith for some romantic dedications).. i'd like to dedicate the following to someone special - "bodies - by drowning pool" .
