i remember awhile back many said they enjoyed the fictional book "the celestian prophecy" by james redfield.
well they are making a movie that has been in production for some time now and should be released some time this year.

I thought both of Redfield's books were great! I read them several years ago when I was in my "searching for some truths" and "energies of the world" modes. I also really liked "Embraced by the Light" by Betty Eadie - gives a good "spin" on death and beyond.

Update: John Evander Couey was charged at 2:50 p.m. this afternoon (3/21/2005) with capital murder, kidnapping and battery on a child under the age of 12. He will be arraigned Tuesday. Citrus County, Florida will seek the death penalty.
Couey's half-sister and two others were charged with obstructing police for failing to notify police when Couey admitted he had committed a crime. Two of these three have since posted bond that was only set at $500.00 (what a joke...$500.00??).
I cannot believe that these three did not know what he did. According to the police news conference on Sunday afternoon... due to drugs, Couey could not remember if he kept her alive for one or two days. How did they NOT know?! He buried her under the stairs outside the trailor home!

I have followed this case since the beginning. It's such a horrific tragedy! I can't believe that we live in a society where we have to monitor Martha Stewart with an ankle bracelet and we allow our sex offenders to roam around and target our children!

there is apparently no chance at all of her ever recovering from her present state, but do you think she should live or die?
for myself, i think she's better off dead than living---no, existing---in her present state.
i for one, have instructed my family to let me die if something like this ever happened to me.
In my opinion, I think that he should just let her parents and family take care of her if that's what they want and they intend on paying for all the care that she is in need of. I think this case shows us all the huge importance of a living will.
I, personally would NEVER want to live connected to tubes but, since she has no living will, I think her parents should have the opportunity to provide her with the care that they think she needs.
Congress should NOT be involved. Her husband should let her parents have custody and let them all live in peace.

okay, what's the deal with the smurfs?
i've heard mention here and there about some 80s rumours regarding demonized smurfs (or something) that got jws in a panic.
i remember when i was a kid my aunt telling my mother about smurf dolls with blood on them walking around, i think.
After 18 years out of the dubs, I'm still scared to death of smurfs! At an assembly in the 80's we heard all kinds of "demon possessed" smurf stories...one smurf bit a baby at the Hall, one ran down someone's stairs screaming, one shook a little girl's bed...one smurf started screaming when a brother tried to burn it...it was so scary! As ridiculous as it sounds it was traumatizing as a young child hearing all of these scary stories.

would you talk to them or shun them as the rank and file are required to you.
i would walk away without even acknowledging their existence.
I'd probably say, "It's been a long, d*mn time! How the h*ll are ya, *sshole?...

i have a big problem remembering my childhood.
it gets quite frustrating sometimes.
every so often i get a flashback to a memory but only by triggers, usually smell.
I have the same problem...I was in 18 years, out 18 years..have had very little memory of my childhood..but being here and reading the posts on various topics, especially about assemblies and field service has helped me remember more.
Both of my younger sister's memories seem to be pretty clear...

ok, if any of you have read the other thread about ghosts, you will remember that i dont care too much for them!
just a few minutes ago my daugter told me she had a weird one last night here in the house, where i have never had a problem.
she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth, and "one "of the holders on the counter that are all made of heavy glass, started shaking back and forth like crazy.

Although it may or may not have been your grandfather that made the cup shake, your grandfather is obviously around you. If the thought of him popped into your head...he's making his presence known to you.
It took me a long time to get past the "demon" issue I was taught. I am now really open to many different things and possibilities. If I were you I would simply ask your grandfather if he's around you (which I'm sure he is) and see what kind of response you get. If your too scared to try this, he will sense that and leave you alone.
