i feel a little odd in posting this..... i am a 39 year old former witness, former elder, former just about everything.
been through much in the last two years... realized not all things i believed were true to me, not all things in the faith work the way i thought.
no anger about the past... i did what i believed to be true to myself, and what others do is their decision.
yes, it is so, that i have a brain tumor and i will be going to the hospital in about two hours.
i will ask my son richard to keep all of you posted.
i have all of you in my heart.
.
elders are supposed to meet everyone once a year, either df'd ones or inactive, just to try to bring them back.. in my case, they usually try right before the memorial.
how about you?.
it's dedpoet's 55th birthday today, although he celebrated it on saturday with a great party, had a special beer brewed etc.
he doesn't drink much usually, but was extremely drunk on saturday lol.
he took some getting home, but we made it!!.
this new database allows anyone to view your drivers license on line.
not a good idea in the age of identity theft.
there is a box to check if you want it removed.
two weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.
i was d/f in january and did not expect to hear regularly from my parents and sister.
the doors the pioneers knocked on were answered.
none of mine opened.
it must be the work of jehovah
i don't post alot but i read alot and because of my situation i can't really devulge much about myself (i could tell some really good stories to).
but i just wanted to say thanks to those who do share because it really helps and i would hate to forget anyone so i won't list all those who i feel like i have come to know thru your post and who have been a real encourgement to me.
is crumpet still out there?
i'm not sure if this is the right place to introduce oneself, but i just, well, wanted to introduce myself!
i'm 29, raised in the truth.
i'm an ex-ms. my dad is still an elder .
.
i never did like wearing a ring, or anything around my neck.. i have an ordinary timex 30$ watch, and that's enough for me.
i like it simple for me anyways.... how about you?
Diamonds are a girls best friend!
I do wear a lot of jewelery. (Only because my husband has very fine taste in diamonds, pearls and gold.) On my left hand is 3 ct and I am wearing my diamond studs today. For some dumb reason, I put them on yesterday to go shopping and didn't take them off last night. I don't wear them everyday, but always have some earings on.
I'm not going to say how much my watch is, but I do wear that everyday! My husbands ex-mother-in-law saw me wearing it and said to me that I shouldn't wearing it everyday. Why not?
I don't like sterling silver, but I do have some pieces. Pearls is another piece of jewelery that you can't wear to often.
One thing that I don't like to see is a women wearing 20 or more gold braclets on one wrist. Way to much!
