6Does the WTBTS publish DA statistics?
by Pwned ini was just wondering what the statistics are since around 2000 when the internet really took hold.
i know when i was going to meetings 1977-1995 da announcements were almost unheard of and from the anecdotal evidence from this site it seems like it is commonplace.
would most of you who still actually attend feel that there has been a significant increase in da in the last 5-10 years or was my congregation back in the day just weird?

Pope near death...
by Abaddon injohn paul ii has been given the holy viaticum (last sacrements).
he has a high fever, a urinary tract infection, and has difficulty breathing and swallowing.. he is concious and alert and has decided not to return to hospital.

currently i am in therapy due to different things that have happened in my life (not just to do with the witnesses!!
) and i thought it would be good to share my last session with you.. as a jw you are given your goal in life- your point.

Did you ever see a TRULY happy JW?
by cyborgVision ini mean seriously, most of us have been inside for a number of years.
so during all this time did you ever see happy person or a family or were you ever truly happy there, even for a brief period of time?

In the congregation where i went to when I grew up i thought most people were pretty happy. there were always cong picnics, weddings, basketball games after the meetings, everyone staying at the same hotels at the conventions, it wasnt until my generation became teenagers that problems started what with 'wayward' teens etc. and i havent been to a hall really since i was 17 so i dont know how it is now.

i told my mother that i do not desire to be associated with jws anymore and
by drunkenpikachu inshe totally flipped out.
all i was trying to do was find some mutual respect for my decision but she started smacking, punching, pushing me.
soon after, she threw the biggest tantrum and it disgusted me to see her acting in such a manner.

well i think that you should try to be loving and supportive with your mom, if you act 'rebellious' it will only reaffirm the WT's teachings of what is going to happen. are you baptized? if so she might take the hard line and shun although if you are underage they are supposed to fulfill thier parental obligations. i dont know man tough situation, but mainly i think you have to be the mature and strong one here cause obviously your mother is an emotional wreck right now. dont blame yourself for being honest.
