Anyone here ever taken Valium?
by Schizm invalium -- a trademark used for diazepam.
diazepam -- a tranquilizer, used in the treatment of anxiety and tension and as a sedative, a muscle relaxant, and an anticonvulsant.
anyone here ever taken this drug?

I agree with all comments here of the highly addictive properties of valium. I was prescribed the drug in the '80s for anxiety, quickly developed a tolerance and subsequent addiction to it for 10 years. Extremely difficult withdrawal. It was just as addictive psychologically for me as physically because of its calming effects. If you do take it -- do it only for a short time, so you don't develop a tolerance.

For those who Believe the bible to be true............
by defd inwho is your favorite bible character and, or, account and why?

I have two favorites:
1. King Saul. I think he got a raw deal. He couldn't help it if he was crazy and the music David played soothed him. I never understood how that could happen in true meloncholia.
2. Ezekiel. He seems to be the saddest man in the bible. All those years he had to endure laying on his side, walking naked and alas! Seeing his wife destroyed. What a life!

Losing My Mind
by joelbear ini feel like i have been slowly losing my mind since the age of 10 or so, maybe before that.
the process seems to be speeding up.
it may just be an inevitable fact of my existence.

Joelbear,
Try not to despair. It just takes time for your mind to rebalance itself. I had depression most of my life and serious episodes when I would fade from JW's. It took time to heal and yes! The boredom of not having the challenge of saving myself and family at Armageddon was the worst. But, I acclimated to freedom and am a healthier happier person now than I ever was as a JW. We are here for you.

CHANGE in "Chosen ones approaching"
by hamsterbait infor years the wts said that the length of the great tribulation would be cut short on account of the annointed.. the wt study on the "given ones" said that the other sheep would have no need to fear after the anointed are all dead because god will protect them.
( this must be before the end, otherwise why do they need protection) others have shown from study articles that the wt now says all the anointed will be in heaven prior to armageddy.
if this is the case, the tribulation cannot possibly pose a threat to the anointed.

Similar experience in my life. I had already faded from JW's and was with my boyfriend of 10 years. He died and two weeks after his death I received a letter in the mail from a JW saying how there was hope to see loved ones in the resurrection of the New System. I was horrified how anyone would read obits to put in their time. Sent me into a tailspin.
