I like to try and help where I can, love the fluff but most off would call myself a gossipy member. I love hearing all the JW gossip from you guys.
i was recently in a central american country and saw something that really blew my mind.. there was a kingdom hall behind what had to be 14 foot gates and it looked to have much more in common with a military compound than a place of worship.
i really wish i could have gotten pictures of it, but i always seemed to be in that area at night when the pictures werent worth a damn.
i guess its not terribly surprising considering that is not too far off the fashion in building down there, but i couldnt help but think about the dubs constant reminder that we didnt need to fear what men could do because we had gods backing...... but just in case, were building a fort.. jsd

If you have sensitive skin I would not try it if I was you. I tried the one for sensitive skin and it still burned my skin. Literally. It looked like a bad sunburn all over my legs. So painful!!

i spent 26 years in the borg, having been born in.
i conservatively estimated devoting a total of 8 hours/week in terms.
of preparing and attending meetings and threw in "assembly" and "convention" time to the equation.
Ha. Imagine if we began calculating this (can someone put together an excel formula for us?) and then submit an invoice to bethel. They would have invoices coming in from all over the world. ha ha

If I pray most often it is so that I can keep calm, think objectively, see perspective that sort of thing. I always get my outcome. Whether it due to just unburdening some thoughts or feelings that are consuming me that helps or divine intervention. What ever it is, it works for me.

first off, let me say that i had no idea that lennon had any other siblings.
it is not something that jumps out at you when reading any of the biographies or history books (kinda like finding out about jesus' brothers and sisters!).
so when a friend of mine told me that he had a sister named julia, i thought she was having me on.. .
I can't confirm that for you sorry. But we heard here in Australia that he had some type of interaction with the witnesses and he wrote the song 'imagine' based on the JW idea of paradise earth.

knowing how dubs love suits and ties, i've always wondered what would happen to a dub who turned up at the hall or for field service wearing a custom made suit that while being of a very ordinary cut, was made from, say, paisley pattern material.. any other "what-ifs?what i'd like to see"s?

When younger, around 11 or 12, it was the 80's and all sorts of new fashion ties were being sported at the kingdom hall. Me and another girl decided to give out 'Tie Awards' to the brothers. We'd make up teeny little certificates at home before the meeting, 1st - 2nd - 3rd, and at the end of the meeting hand them out. It was quite popular amongst the brothers. They were all buying new ties regularly. Hilarious. Eventually the PO decided it wasn't good and put a stop to it. (meanwhile he never got an award.)
yesterday i was trying to find a place to park at the clinic.
and its not easy.
so i see a guy get in his car, so i put on my blinker and wait.
yes I do lose it... When people put there foot on the brake and then indicate that they are making a turn... FOOLS!!! indicate THEN brake!!!!
And at night when oncoming traffic has their high beams on and dont think to turn them off
