Defd I am sorry to hear that you are going through a stressful period. I too have been through extreme stress in the past and because I didn't manage it found myself sinking into depression.
When do you feel at your most stressed?
Is it an environment, a situation?
Can you elimnate it? Do you have to remain exposed to it? If so can you minimise it?
Perhaps you could introduce some stress relieving exercises everytime you feel yourself getting anxious.
Have you talked to a professional at all?
Its very important that anyone experiencing high levels of anxiety have it addressed. It can lead to serious health issues.

Scariest
I was assigned to work with one of the elders sons. I was about 23 the boy was about 15. We were invited into this house and I instructed B to leave his bag at the door in case anyone wondered where we had gone and they could see it. We were invited to sit down and I began my presentation. As I was delivering it the householder left the room and came back carrying a rifle. It was the first gun I had ever seen! Whilst I calmly continued to give my presentation the guy kept moving something, I don't know if he was loading it or unloading or what the heck he was doing! He appeared like he was in a weird trance all the while the gun was pointed at us. B was sitting beside me and I could tell he was as scared and as intimidated as I was. So in a moment of inspiration I told the guy to go get me some money for the donation. He walked out of the room I grabbed B and we ran from the house. We picked up his bag and joined the group down the road. We explained what happened and the elder scolded us. For leaving the bag out the front. WHAAAAT??
Funniest
Taking another young girl on a return visit who would reliably take whatever I offered her. The poor old dear was quite senile and lonely. Anyway one day she opened the door compeltely startkers. The poor young girl was just revotled by it I was horrified... I told her to go inside and get back to bed and got out of their quick smart. I remember thinking thank goodness the new system is coming and i will never get old and have droopy breasts like that!!!

Did God ever grant what you asked for in prayer?
by JH ini was an active witness, and i didn't feel as if god granted anything i asked for in prayers.
i didn't ask anything out of the ordinary.
since the witnesses say that they are god's followers and that he blesses them, i wonder in what way he blesses individuals when they pray?.

I remember when I was about 10 losing my favourite book - Anne of Green Gables. I prayed like mad that I would find it. The next day mum made me clean out my closet and VOILA! There it was at the bottom. I strongly believed that Jehovah had answered my prayers.... I still like that little memory because its so silly really...

JW Literature-why not public?
by AllAlongTheWatchtower inthis might be old hat to those of you with more experience in the wts/witness life, but it struck me as very odd, perhaps even a bit sinister.
i started coming here so i could find out just what my wife was getting herself into.
on my first day here, i learned about the blood doctrine, and that was enough to convince me.

Here's another possible reason why you won't see JW literature in a bookshop.
The way that they are ogranised now they don't have to pay any taxes... So they just make all this profit. By distributing their literature in bookshops they will then need to pay tax!

It's crazy isn't it...
If and when I get married... My mum told me that she is sad that she won't ever be able to go to my wedding. (I plan to have it where ever I please, church, garden, backyard). I told her that is nuts. She says that she can't go because I wouldn't have a JW wedding and I've turned my back on Jehovah. I told her that in that case she probably shouldn't go to anymore funerals in churches or other non JW weddings. The whole thing is hypocritical.
That's funny you weren't allowed to watch scooby doo. We weren't allowed to watch Road Runner.Too violent! LOL
Your not missing anything... but they are by their own actions.
